Islam Update: Men at Gitmo Under Trump and Obama
Virginia Kruta Independent Journal Review Dec 12, 2017
As the investigation continues into the New York City subway bomber, the suspect’s family has complained openly about the behavior of the New York Police Department and the FBI in the early hours of the search for information.
Claiming that authorities pulled a teenage relative from a high school classroom and at least one younger child was kept outside while another relative’s residence was searched, the family released a statement through the legal director for the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations:

Buck Sexton, a former CIA analyst and political commentator, didn’t waste any time offering his own translation of the family’s statement:
“Sorry our son tried to blow up a lot of you on your way to work today, but the cops were kinda rude to us after that and we want answers” https://t.co/2nEN4czLx9 — Buck Sexton (@BuckSexton) December 12, 2017
President Trump does the right thing again…
Gitmo should be viewed as a prisoner of war camp, not a prison…
It holds soldiers for Allah who should only be released once the global jihad has been defeated…
…which could mean these prisoners will stay in Gitmo for the rest of their lives…
Some may wonder why these jihadists must stay at Gitmo for the duration of the global jihad. Here’s why:
- To move them into the general prison population will only give them an opportunity to proselytize to other prisoners…
- To release them will only give them an opportunity to rejoin the jihad…
- Putting them in the hands of other countries often leads to them being released…
…and even compensated by the country we gave them to, to the tune of millions of dollars…
Gitmo is going to be a necessity for the foreseeable future… Dave

GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba (AP) — Abdellatif Nasser got what he thought was the best news possible in the summer of 2016: One of his lawyers called him at the Guantanamo Bay detention center and told him that the U.S. decided he no longer posed a threat and could go home to Morocco. The prisoner allowed himself to get excited, to think about Moroccan food, imagining he would be home in no time. “I’ve been here 14 years,” he said at the time. “A few months more is nothing.”
But his optimism turned out to be misplaced. A diplomatic agreement that would have allowed him to go free was not returned by Morocco until Dec. 28, eight days too late to meet a deadline to be among the last prisoners to leave under President Barack Obama. Now, he is one of five prisoners who the U.S. cleared to go but whose freedom is in doubt under President Donald Trump.
“We had hoped until the last moment that he might still be released,” said Shelby Sullivan-Bennis, the lawyer who told him about his pending release and shared her notes from the conversation. “When it didn’t happen we were crushed. That eight-day foible has turned into a potential lifetime of detention.”
The Trump administration has not released any prisoners and not added any to the list of cleared men who can go home, or to a third country, for resettlement. There were 197 transferred out under his predecessor and more than 500 under President George W. Bush. Obama sought to close the detention center but was thwarted by Congress because of objections over transferring any of the remaining detainees to facilities in the U.S.
“It is entirely unprecedented for an administration to take the position that there will be no transfers out of Guantanamo without regard to the facts, without regard to individual circumstances,” said Pardiss Kebriaei, a detainee attorney with the New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights. The administration has not announced its policy toward the detention center. But Trump said on Twitter before he took office that there should be no further releases from “Gitmo,” as it’s often called. “These are extremely dangerous people and should not be allowed back onto the battlefield,” he said…

I encourage Forevermark to stop supporting the Washington Post’s leftist propaganda and fake news with its advertising dollars.
A Washington Post reporter plotted with George Soros to advance the leftist agenda. The Washington Post is ironically promoting the Quran to fight the Islamophobia false narrative. And of course the Washington Post is publishing fake news. Forevermark Diamonds is a frequent advertiser at washingtonpost.com. De Beers Group owns Forevermark Diamonds. Plotting with George Soros to advance the leftist agenda.
Fox News published a report titled: Washington Post reporter caught plotting liberal agenda with billionaire George Soros. The article states in part: ‘Allegedly unbiased Washington Post reporter Janell Ross spoke at a top-secret meeting of liberal movers and shakers last week, where Democratic donors including billionaire George Soros outlined the future of their progressive agenda. A Post spokesperson told the Washington Free Beacon that Ross took part of the California event “without notifying her superiors that she would be attending.”’ LOL. If you can believe the post spokesperson.

President Donald Trump responded to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s call for his resignation, calling her a “lightweight” and a “total flunky” for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
“Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump,” Trump wrote. “Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”
Sen. Gillibrand called for Trump’s resignation after three women again detailed sexual harassment accusations that they voiced during the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump denounced their accusations as false, accusing them of joining a politically motivated plot against him.
“Despite thousands of hours wasted and many millions of dollars spent, the Democrats have been unable to show any collusion with Russia – so now they are moving on to the false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don’t know and/or have never met,” he wrote on Twitter. “FAKE NEWS!”…

“Mr. Trump continues to exhibit paranoia about American intelligence agencies,” wrote the “Never Trump” conservative Max Boot in the New York Times a week or so before the president took office.
“Consumed by his paranoia about the deep state, Donald Trump has disappeared into the fog of his own conspiracy theories,” declared the Times’ Maureen Dowd.
“Paranoia seizes Trump’s White House,” reported Politico, noting the suspicion that “career intelligence operatives are working to undermine the new president.”
Actually, they were. “It’s no mystery why Trump doesn’t trust U.S. intelligence agencies,” Bloomberg’s Eli Lake wrote last month. “As the old saying goes: Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you. Trump understandably believes the intelligence agencies are out to get him.”
Of course, leaders in the intelligence community would deny they are out to get the president. But in a remarkable new interview, one CIA veteran who served in the agency from 1980 to 2013, who briefed presidents on the most sensitive issues of the day, and is still a prominent voice in intelligence matters is at least conceding that he can understand why the president feels the way he does.
Michael Morell stayed out of politics when he served as the CIA’s No. 2 official. He was the classic nonpartisan operative who served the office, and not the man. “I worked at this nonpolitical agency, bright red line between intelligence and policy, and intelligence and politics,” Morell told Politico’s Susan Glasser this week.
Until Trump. In August 2016, the retired-but-still-active-in-intelligence-matters Morell decided to abandon decades of nonpartisanship and come out in support of Hillary Clinton. In a New York Times op-ed, he praised Clinton’s experience and called Trump a danger to the nation, a threat to its “foundational values,” and an “unwitting agent” for Russia.
“I was so deeply concerned about what a Trump presidency might look like from a national security perspective, and believed that there was such a gap between Secretary Clinton and Donald Trump with regard to how well they would protect the country, that I thought it extremely important to come out and say that,” Morell told Glasser.
Some of Morell’s former colleagues in the intelligence community took the same step. Gen. Michael Hayden, a former CIA director, blasted Trump as Russia’s “useful fool.” Another former top CIA officer, Michael Vickers, pronounced Trump unfit. And the agency’s then-director, John Brennan, openly clashed with Trump.
These were all men who came out of the nonpolitical tradition of American intelligence. And all chose, for the first time, to publicly take sides in a presidential campaign.
Of course, it’s safe to say that each assumed Clinton would win. But when Trump prevailed, amazingly enough, he thought the intelligence agencies were against him…

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a kind of honorary member of the “Swamp,” and of the “Deep State.” Its board of directors is comprised of Progressive bobbleheads. While it purports to identify “hate speech” (see my recent column, “A Lexicon for Our Time,” for a discussion of the invalidity of the term hate speech) and “hate groups,” it is itself a promulgator of the former thus making it automatically a member of the latter.
“Hate speech is free speech that hurts people’s feelings.” Pat Condell agrees and describes what’s happening in Britain, which is the government’s totalitarian yen for Sharia. “Hate crime” depends on a subjective perception of what is said or written or done. It could be anything from a virulent defamation of Islam on a soapbox or the Internet, to the twirly shape of the top of a Burger King ice cream cone. If the twirl is “offensive” and resembles an Islamic symbol, you’re guilty of “hate speech” and, depending on a prosecutor’s fervor, you will be charged with a “hate crime.” Evidence of “hate speech” or a “hate crime” depends solely on someone’s “feelings” or claim of hurt feelings…
The SPLC is Antifa without hoods, masks, or bicycle locks. It has issued its own fatwas on any one or any organization it has subjectively deemed “hateful,” that is, its primary target is to scuttle freedom of speech and to silence anyone’s freedom of speech, especially about Islam. It commits slander, libel, or smears in conjunction with a willing and copasetic Mainstream Media (MSM), which is lured by its often ludicrous designations to fresh meat like a “Walker” or zombie inThe Walking Dead… An apt description which fits the MSM, as well! Walkers, or the MSM, have demonstrated a hunger for humans, pigs, dogs, horses, and even tigers. Tigresses like Pamela Geller, who, though surrounded by the baying and growling MSM, will not be brought down. Read FATWA, and learn why not.)
The MSM has confirmed by consensus and by a kneejerk reference to the discredited SPLC that Geller, together with everyone else on its “anti-Muslim hit list is “anti-Muslim,” even though she has said numerous times that she is not “anti-Muslim.” Like Frankenstein’s monster, the SPLC has become a malevolent agent for “change” and social “transformation.”…
This liberal Irish politician manages to spew all of the pro-Muslim immigration lines in a mere 2 minutes…
Impressive to watch, and also a good reminder of what the pro-immigrant arguments are…
One of the key arguments is that Westerners aren’t having enough children to keep the population from declining…
The key question such politicians never ask is: Shouldn’t we be encouraging Westerners to have more children…
…by encouraging pregnant women to favor adoption as an alternative to abortion? Dave

Because Islam gets criticized for many things — from hostility to modernity and democracy to calls for theocratic rule, radical “patriarchy,” misogyny, and draconian punishments, to name a few — it is helpful to step back and distinguish between those (many) doctrines that affect Muslim society alone, and those that extend to and affect Western or non-Muslim peoples in general. On doing this, three interrelated doctrines come into sharp focus. They are: 1) total disavowal from, and enmity for, “the infidel,” that is, constant spiritual or metaphysical hostility against the non-Muslim (in Arabic known as al-wala’ w’al bara, or “loyalty and enmity”); this naturally manifests itself as 2) jihad, that is,physical hostility against and—whenever and wherever possible—attempts to subjugate the non-Muslim); finally, successful jihads lead to 3) dhimmitude, the degrading position of conquered non-Muslims who refuse to forfeit their religious freedom by converting to the victor’s creed…

Since the loss of nearly 3,000 Americans on 9/11 and countless Islamic terrorist attacks since then, America has been subjected to an increasing Muslim population along with the growth of 3,000 mosques throughout our country, with the majority funded by Saudi Arabia. In the age of spineless and perilously non-judgmental multiculturalism, many Americans have not blinked at the sight of burkas and hijabs within our midst. Yet, if we continue to ignore the potential peril presented by a growing but largely unvetted Muslim population, we here in America will likely suffer the same fate as that of our Western European brethren, who are enduring a pulsating wave of violence stirred up in a cauldron of festering Islamic radicalism.
The question that begs to be answered is why we in the United States are importing a population whose religious tenets clearly call for jihad upon non-Muslims. Muslim apologists like to point out that not all Muslims commit violent or civilizational jihad, but that is irrelevant to the question of why we would even consider taking in a population raised with a religion the dogma of which in its literal form mandates our submission or death.
For the last 1,400 years, approximately 270 million people have been murdered in the name of Islam. This horrific outrage is not due to poverty, external oppression, or crusade. Islamic doctrine as recorded in the faith’s holiest texts mandates jihad upon all infidels until all of mankind is under the dominion of Allah. Nearly 61% of Quranic doctrine consists of violent verses, which call for conquest against the non-believers. The following are just a few direct Quranic quotations to demonstrate the doctrinal view of Jews and Christians…
To get a clearer picture of what is really going on here…
Imagine the mob paying millions of dollar to the police…
That is an accurate analogy…
Saudi Arabia is one of the most repressive nations in the world…
…with little daylight between the way they govern and the way ISIS governed…
The primary difference is that all the non-Muslims have long since been wiped out in Saudi…
This money is going to be used to protect Islamist Saudi Arabia and UAE from their Islamist rivals…
It will do little to combat terror, which is the primary means by which Saudi Arabia is ruled… Dave

LA CELLE-SAINT-CLOUD, France – The Latest on a summit in France on a new African military force to counter jihadis in the Sahel (all times local):
2:50 pm: French President Emmanuel Macron says Saudi Arabia has pledged to provide $100 million and the UAE $30 million to fight the jihadi threat in Africa’s Sahel region. The French Defense Ministry says the five countries participating in a fledgling G5 Sahel force is to grow to a 5,000-strong army by March, but still needs soldiers, training, operational autonomy and funding.
The French president says the nations — Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Chad — must step up their efforts during the first half of 2018, especially by pledging more soldiers.
Macron held a summit with African and European leaders outside Paris on Wednesday to discuss the threat in the Sahel region. He says the United States has confirmed a pledge of $60 million for the five-nation force, known as G5 Sahel…
Security services were alerted months before Manchester blast, email was lost on London Bridge knifeman and Westminster terrorist scoped out scene days ahead of attack
Richard Spillett, Crime Correspondent and Martin Robinson Uk Chief Reporter The Daily Mail 6 December 2017
Security services missed vital clues in the days leading up to several of the terror atrocities that have hit Britain this year, it has been revealed.
Detectives had intelligence about Manchester bomber Salman Abedi in the months before his attack killed 22 adults and children outside an Ariana Grande concert, David Anderson QC found.
The information would have caused an investigation into him to be opened ‘had its true significance been properly understood’, the review said.
It also emerged that a meeting to discuss Abedi’s threat level was due to be held a week after he carried out his deadly bombing.
The review also revealed that London Bridge attacker Khuram Butt was being actively investigated by security services at the time of his attack and Westminster terrorist Khalid Masood scoped out the bridge days before he drove a car along its pavement, killing tourists…

BERLIN – The German government is considering increasing compensation for those injured or who lost loved ones in terror attacks, following criticism in the wake of last year’s truck rampage in Berlin.
Twelve people were killed and dozens more were injured when a criminal from Tunisia drove a stolen truck into a crowded Christmas market on Dec. 19, 2016. He was later killed in Italy and the attack was claimed by the Islamic State group.
An official tasked with representing the victims of the attack said a comparison with other countries showed Germany’s financial compensation for terror victims is relatively low. Presenting his final report in Berlin, Kurt Beck said his recommendations were welcomed by ministers during a Cabinet meeting Wednesday…

Bad things that are tips of bad icebergs shouldn’t happen to good people. But if they must, it’s as well they happen to people with influence to command respectful attention.
Gordon Wasserman (since 2011 Baron Wasserman) grew up in Montreal, won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University, and joined the U.K. Home Office in 1967. He is presently a Conservative member of the House of Lords and Government Advisor on Policing and Criminal Justice. The “bad thing” happened to his grandson, “Oscar,” not his real name.
Lord Wasserman’s daughter Gemma and her family live in Berlin. Gemma’s husband, Wenzel Michalski, head of the German division of Human Rights Watch, was recently interviewed on German TV regarding violence Oscar endured at his now-former secondary school. It’s a disturbing story, fraught with multiple ironies. Here, according to Michalski’s TV account and my telephone conversation with Gemma Michalski, is what happened.
Oscar, 13, was enrolled in a public school the Michalskis had chosen for its vaunted commitment to diversity and anti-racism. The school population is about 80 per cent Muslims — mostly of Turkish, some of other Arab provenance — and 15 per cent ethnic Germans, with a sprinkling of Kurdish and African children.
Oscar’s first four days went swimmingly. On the fifth day, in Ethics class, speaking about the world’s great faiths, the teacher asked if the students were familiar with any houses of worship. The answers came: “church,” “mosque,” “church,” mosque.” Oscar responded, “synagogue.” The teacher asked if he was Jewish; he said yes, and here his troubles began. A Muslim boy Oscar had befriended promptly told him — not in anger but as a matter of obvious fact — they could no longer play together because “Muslims and Jews cannot be friends” and “Jews are murderers.” From then on, slurs against Jews and Israel from otherwise perfectly nice boys and girls from working-class Muslim families were tossed off at him as a matter of course.
His parents requested immediate intervention from school authorities, but beyond sympathetic platitudes, the administration was curiously unresponsive. Oscar then became the butt of general bullying, which escalated to physical attacks. Still no action was taken. Gemma Michalski told me that after one serious beating by a Palestinian boy, the school’s social worker told her she was “pushy” for urging an action plan to deal with the problem and to “let it be.” Her suggestion was that since Oscar’s “presence was provocative” to his attacker, Oscar should try to avoid him. A tipping point arrived with “a mock execution” in which an older student pretended to kill Oscar with a realistic-looking gun and headlocked the boy to the point of unconsciousness.
Oscar left the school. Nobody was suspended or punished. As Michalski dryly notes in his understated manner to the interviewer, it is “regrettable that it was the victim that had to disappear from the other school while the others continued to enjoy its advantages.” Oscar now attends a private international school, where he is happy.
Oscar’s experience was clearly not unique, as Michalski discovered when the story became known. From correspondence and people who approached them in public places, “we learned there were many many such incidents” happening “everywhere in Germany,” but the common denominator was a fear of going public with them, Gemma told me. In his family’s own case, Michalski said a few parents and a few of Oscar’s German classmates offered support, but they felt “powerless in the face of this anti-Semitic bullying.”…

Swedish Chief Prosecutor Lise Tamm has claimed that the Stockholm suburb of Rinkeby is like “a war zone”. Ms. Tamm, who will become acting head of the anti-organised crime unit in the New Year, said that she would be looking to war-torn countries like Colombia and El Salvador to find new methods of handling the rampant violence in Sweden’s no-go zones, Sveriges Radio reports.
“Rinkeby is almost like a war zone. When the police work there, they work as the armed forces would have done,” Tamm said. Tamm then compared the no-go zone to Central American countries which have had to deal with huge waves of criminal gang-related violence in the recent past: “And then I thought: How did they do it in Colombia when they deported FARC guerrillas, how did they do it in El Salvador when the war ended? How have they done in other parts of the world where you have had such great problems for many, many years? Is there any solution? You have to think outside the box,” she said… Tamm stressed the increasing the presence of police in the area was not enough and that she would also work to increase the number of social workers and government services to the area as well.
Local Rinkeby police officer Niclas Andersson expressed opposition to labelling the area a “war zone” but admitted the suburb has some serious problems. “We have shooting and gang crime, but comparing it with a war zone, no I do not share that perception,” he insisted. The comments come after members of the Moderate Party proposed sending the armed forces into areas like Rinkeby to allow police to do their jobs without the fear of being attacked…
