Marchers: ‘Diversity is what makes America great’

Delawareans… If you are familiar with any of the misguided organizations that supported this march…

…please contact them about the Islamist threat…

I myself will contact New Ark United Church of Christ…

…and will be glad to team up with anyone who would like to join me…

…or approach any of the other organizations…

Whether together or alone, it is time for us to speak up…   Dave

Delawareans marched through Newark Sunday to show support for refugees and remind them that they are welcome in the United States. Brittany Horn/The News Journal

Protesters say they are far from finished fighting back against efforts to keep refugees out of the United States.

“Love is what pulls us together,” said the Rev. Cynthia Robinson Sunday outside of New Ark United Church of Christ in Newark. “Love is what binds us together. And this is what love looks like right here. … Love already has won.”

She spoke to about 170 people gathered Sunday to raise awareness for refugees from seven countries whom President Donald Trump has tried to ban from coming into the country. Federal judges have struck down his executive order repeatedly, but many remain concerned about what the future could hold for immigrants and others seeking refuge in America.

Signs emblazoned with “Love thy neighbor” and other slogans bobbed down Main Street in Newark as protesters tried to get the attention of University of Delaware students and those driving on the busy street. Some honked their car horns in approval, garnering cheers from the group, while a few yelled “Build a wall” to those walking.

The diverse group, however, sought to overcome those negative voices, stressing the importance of coming together for people of all backgrounds and walks of life. The rally and march sought to bring multiple interfaith communities together, while standing in solidarity with the Jewish Rally for Refugees in New York City’s Battery Park Sunday afternoon.

“Now we support the stranger,” said Rabbi Elisa Koppel from Congregation Beth Emeth in Wilmington. “We welcome that stranger. We fight for that stranger, no matter where that stranger is from.”

That message is especially important for Imam Abdul Hadi Shehata with the Islamic Society of Delaware, who along with others has worked for more than a year to bring a Syrian family to the First State. The family of three arrived at Philadelphia International Airport late Friday night after weeks of changed plans and fears for where they would end up next.

Many groups, including the Jewish Family Services and Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, worked to relocate the family and give them a new home in Delaware…

Georgetown Professor Condones Rape And Slavery Under Sharia

No flap has ensued at Georgetown University after one of its professors declared, ‘It’s not immoral for one human to own another human.’

The megabucks that Georgetown University has received from oil sheiks (example) now completely controls it…

The same kind of influence purchase is happening throughout the American academic world…   Dave

Meira Svirsky                 The Clarion Project                 Sun, February 12, 2017

Jonathan A.C. Brown (Photo: Video screenshot)

A Georgetown professor of Islamic studies sent shockwaves through the academic and secular world for a lecture he gave essentially condoning Islamic slavery and nonconsensual sex (that’s academic for “rape”).

That would have been the opening sentence to comment on such a lecture if we lived in normal times – which we don’t. The lecture in question actually created very little stir – neither at the university where he is employed nor elsewhere save for some very astute blogs (see here and here) deconstructing the professor’s astonishing breadth of obfuscation.

In a lecture (see below) at the International Institute of Islamic Thought (a Muslim-Brotherhood-linked group) and in subsequent questions and answers following his talk, Georgetown Islamic Studies professor Jonathan Brown, a convert to Islam, declares: “It’s not immoral for one human to own another human.”

He waxes poetic about the great life a slave has under sharia law (versus slavery under white men in the South) without actually defining that life. Perhaps, as Clarion Project has done, he should get his information from a Yazidi girl from Iraq.

Brown says slavery itself is not problematic, since the “the Prophet of God [Mohammed] had slaves … There’s no denying that. Was he—are you more morally mature than the Prophet of God? No you’re not.”

Rather, “The moral evil is extreme forms of deprivation of rights and extreme forms of control and extreme forms of exploitation. I don’t think it’s morally evil to own somebody because we own lots of people all around us, and we’re owned by people.”

Brown mentions examples such as an employer and an employee, taking out a mortgage and even his own marriage, since his wife held certain rights over him. Somehow, the fact that one engages in these activities from his or her own free will and has the ability to terminate such relationships went over the professor’s head, or he chose to ignore them.

Brown tells his audience Islamic slavery was fundamentally better than slavery that was practiced in the U.S., since it was not racially motivated. How that makes it better is beyond my moral compass, but one can simply look at the well documented history of the Arab slave trade of Africans to dispute this.

Although many whites were enslaved by Arab Muslims as well, an estimated 10-20 million black Africans were enslaved between 650 and 1900 by Arab slave traders. Many of these slaves were forcibly castrated to serve as eunuchs that guarded the vast harems of female slaves belonging to the rulers. Black Muslim slaves still exist today, for example, in Mauritania and Sudan. Black people suffer discrimination in Saudi Arabia, where slavery was only abolished in 1962.

The racial slur abeed, meaning slaves in Arabic, is still widely used to describe black people…

14-Year-Old Yazidi Girl Raped by ISIS Speaks Out

Islamic State terrorists continue buying and selling women and girls in their vicious slave markets. One young woman tells her story.

The Clarion Project              Sun, February 12, 2017

When ISIS men entered the village of Kuju, which is in Sinjar, they kidnapped the girls and divided them by age.

One of those captured, now aged 14, escaped and told her story at the Committee for Peaceful Coexistence organized by a group of Muslim clerics in cooperation with Sulaymaniyah University.

She recounted how she was raped dozens of times by an ISIS fighter with Iraqi citizenship.

After he was killed in one of the battles his father also started raping her. He eventually sold her in one of the slave markets regularly held by ISIS.

Before being sold she was kept for two years in a holding camp. She said she saw no traits during that time to suggest the ISIS men are Muslims.

While she was in the holding camp she became acquainted with a nine-year-old girl who told her that she was kidnapped and then also raped and tortured barbarically. Even the elderly did not escape rape. She became acquainted with a woman aged 65 who cried because she had been tortured and raped.

This is the everyday reality of the women and girls still suffering as slaves under Islamic State rule…

‘Feminist Gov’t of Sweden’ Dons Hijabs for Iran Trade Visit

In declaring itself a feminist government, Swedish ministers said, “This means that gender equality is central to the government’s priorities.”

In a trade visit to Iran, members of the self-declared “feminist government” of Sweden greeted Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and other officials dressed in hijabs, pants and long coats, reported by UN Watch.

The organization expressed disappointment that the world’s first feminist government “sacrificed its principles and the rights of Iranian women…in deference to Iran’s oppressive and unjust laws which make the hijab compulsory.”

In declaring itself a feminist government, Swedish ministers said, “This means that gender equality is central to the Government’s priorities – in decision-making and resource allocation. A feminist government ensures that a gender equality perspective is brought into policy-making on a broad front, both nationally and internationally…This is a human right and a matter of democracy and justice.”

Masih Alinejad, an Iranian human rights activist who created the Facebook page “My Stealthy Freedom,” where Iranian women post pictures of themselves rebelling against Iran’s modesty laws, asked European female politicians as well as those around the world to reject the mullah’s dictates and realize that this is not a “cultural issue” but “the most visible symbol of oppression.”

“European female politicians are hypocrites,” Alinejad said. “They stand with French Muslim women and condemn the burkini ban—because they think compulsion is bad—but when it happens to Iran, they just care about money.”

“If Sweden really cares about human rights, they should not be empowering a regime that brutalizes its own citizens while carrying out genocide in Syria; and if they care about women’s rights, then the female ministers never should have gone to misogynistic Iran in the first place,” said UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer.

“Trade Minister [Ann] Linde, who signed multiple agreements with Iranian ministers while wearing a veil, ‘sees no conflict’ between her government’s human rights policy and signing trade deals with an oppressive dictatorship that tortures prisoners, persecutes gays, and is a leading executioner of minor,” wrote UN Watch.

Meanwhile, Swedish police officers ended up in a hospital after a routine patrol in an area dubbed a “no-go zone.”…

Four Muslim Groups Reject US Counter-Terror Funding

For these groups, their image is a higher priority than actually fighting radical Islam and helping their communities.

Ryan Mauro                 The Clarion Project           Mon, February 13, 2017

Four Minnesota youth from the Somali community who were convicted of terrorism-related offenses.

But the mainstream media tells us that immigrants from Somalia don’t represent a terrorist threat…

Did you notice the careful parsing in the linked Huffington Post article?

According to HuffPo and the rest of the MSM, no Americans have actually been killed by Somali terrorists on U.S. soil…

So if their terrorist attacks happened outside the U.S., or were foiled, or only succeeded in raping or maiming people…

…then Somalis are not a threat. Yeah… right…    Dave

In a revealing trend, four nonprofits groups involved with the Muslim-American community have rejected federal funding for countering violent extremism. For these groups, their image — as well as making a political point – is a higher priority than fighting radical Islam and helping their communities.

The four Muslim groups had been privileged to receive Homeland Security grants to support their efforts to “counter violent extremism,” a generic and politically-correct term that the Obama Administration used to avoid verbiage related to Islam.

Now, these groups are willing to sacrifice that funding and cut their programs just to stick it to President Trump. Their form of protest is not to use their voices, but to try to show how bad President Trump is by increasing the suffering and danger for their constituents and country more broadly.

An organization for Somali youth in Minnesota named Ka Joog is rejecting $500,000 that was supposed to promote education, prevent radicalization, drug use and other harmful activities. Whether you agree with the premise that radicalization is caused by those problems or not, the fact is that Ka Joog chose to deny help to Somali youth in need.

Apparently unaware of how ridiculous his sentence sounded, executive director Mohamed Farah said the decision was made because President Trump is “promoting a cancerous ideology.” Yes, he actually said he’d decline an opportunity to fight the cancerous ideology of radical Islam because he is offended by the so-called “cancerous ideology” of President Trump…

  3. Two men in New York pleaded guilty to planning to bomb prominent targets in New York City with pressure cookers…
  4. Five men, all member s of a terror cell in the UK who called for attacks on shoppers, were sent to prison. Speaking events for the public, including children, set up by the men – where they called for gays to be thrown off roofs, among other extremist ideas…

Islamophobia is Fueling Terrorism, Says UN Chief

It is time to defund the U.N…. and has been for many years…   Dave

AFP                    Breitbart Jerusalem                    13 Feb 2017

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — “Islamophobia” in parts of the world is fuelling terrorism, the head of the United Nations said on a visit to Saudi Arabia Sunday, as anti-immigrant sentiment rises in some countries.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made the comment to reporters after talks with Saudi King Salman, Crown Prince and Interior Minister Mohammed bin Nayef, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

“One of the things that fuel terrorism is the expression in some parts of the world of Islamophobic feelings and Islamophobic policies and Islamophobic hate speeches,” Guterres said at a joint news conference with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir.

“This is sometimes the best support that Daesh can have to make its own propaganda,” Guterres said, using an Arabic acronym for the Islamic State group of Sunni extremists in Syria and Iraq.

The jihadist group has also claimed deadly attacks in Saudi Arabia and in Europe.

Anti-immigration politicians including France’s Marine Le Pen have seen their popularity rise after an influx to Europe of migrants, many of them Muslims fleeing wars in Syria and elsewhere…

Syria’s conflict has created 4.8 million refugees and killed more than 310,000 people since it began with anti-government protests in March 2011.

Guterres said “we will never be successful in fighting terrorism in Syria if an inclusive political solution is not found for the Syrian people.”

A new round of UN-sponsored peace talks is scheduled for February 20 in Geneva.

Guterres arrived in Saudi Arabia from Turkey and is to be in Dubai on Monday for the World Government Summit during his regional tour…

White House Puts Palestinians, United Nations in Crosshairs

Trump admin no longer willing to swallow anti-Israel agenda

Adam Kredo             The Washington Free Beacon                    February 13, 2017

The White House is sending a strong signal that it will no longer tolerate Palestinian intransigence at the United Nations or the international body’s long record of anti-Israel action, according to White House officials and sources in Congress who told the Washington Free Beacon that the Trump administration will “unabashedly support Israel” in the months and years ahead.

The Trump administration sent shockwaves through the U.N. late last week when it took a stance against the appointment of a senior Palestinian official to serve in a top post overseeing Libya.

Senior officials at Turtle Bay expressed outrage over the Trump administration’s move to block the appointment of former Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad as a special U.N. representative for Libya. The move was widely supported by U.N. members, and, for a time, the Trump administration.

Sources inside the White House told the Free Beacon that the move was meant to send a signal to the Palestinians that they can no longer manipulate the U.N. system in order to bolster their international clout. This type of action, the sources said, undermines Israel and the ongoing peace process.

White House officials, as well as senior sources in Congress, told the Free Beacon that the move is part of a larger effort to solidify U.S. support for Israel and counter a range of last-minute moves by the former Obama administration aimed at severing U.S.-Israel ties.

The Free Beacon first reported earlier this year that the Trump administration and Congress had already been working on a range of measures meant to boost U.S. support for Israel at the U.N.

“The United States was disappointed to see a letter indicating the intention to appoint the former Palestinian Authority Prime Minister to lead the U.N. Mission in Libya,” Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said in a statement opposing the selection of Fayyad. “For too long the U.N. has been unfairly biased in favor of the Palestinian Authority to the detriment of our allies in Israel.”

“The United States does not currently recognize a Palestinian state or support the signal this appointment would send within the United Nations, however, we encourage the two sides to come together directly on a solution,” Haley said in a vast departure from Obama administration rhetoric. “Going forward the United States will act, not just talk, in support of our allies.”…

The Jihadi Shadow Government in America

John Guandolo                  Understanding the Threat                February 12, 2017

Former President Bill Clinton (left) with alleged Muslim spy Imran Awan                                         Nada Prouty’s arrest photos

“Phase Two:  Phase of gradual appearance on the public scene…infiltrating various sectors the of Government…

…Establishing a shadow government (secret) within the Government.”

The Islamic Movement’s World Underground Movement Plan (view full document HERE)

The purpose of the Islamic Movement’s establishment of a “shadow government” inside the U.S. government is two-fold:  first, to influence decision-making as it relates to Islam and the “war on terror”; and secondly, to gather intelligence.

A declassified FBI confidential informant (CI) report dated 8/17/1988, details the Muslim Brotherhood’s activities in the United States  at the time and states:  “(CI) has advised that the Ikhwan is a secret Muslim organization that has unlimited funds and is extremely well organized in the United States to the point where it has set up political action front groups with no traceable ties to the IIIT or its various Muslim groups. They also have claimed success in infiltrating the United States government…the IIIT leadership has indicated that in this phase their organization needs to peacefully get inside the United States Government and also American universities.  (CI) noted that the ultimate goal of the Islamic Revolution is the overthrow of all non-Islamic governments.”

It was reported last week that three Muslim brothers – Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan – who have been working IT on Capitol Hill, were fired in the last 10 days because they allegedly accessed computer systems of Members of Congress without authorization.  Another brother and a sister in the Awan family are also apparently under investigation in this same case.

An FBI press release dated 11/13/2007 reveals:  Nada Nadim Prouty, a 37-year-old Lebanese national and resident of Vienna, VA, pleaded guilty today in the Eastern District of Michigan to charges of fraudulently obtaining U.S. citizenship, which she later used to gain employment at the FBI and CIA; accessing a federal computer system to unlawfully query information about her relatives and the terrorist organization Hizballah; and conspiracy to defraud the United States.”  To be clear, Prouty was an active CIA case officer and former FBI Special Agent whose immediate family were personally close to senior Hizbollah leaders.

In April 2008, a Muslim police officer, Sergeant Weiss Rasool with the Fairfax County (VA) Police Department, was sentenced in federal court for illegally using the FBI’s National Crime Information Center database to see if he and others with whom he was acquainted were on the Terrorist Offender list.  He also discovered one of his friends was under FBI investigation in a terrorism matter and tipped him off prior to the FBI raid.

While working undercover as an intern at the headquarters office for Hamas (doing business as the Council on American Islamic Relations – CAIR) in Washington, D.C., UTT’s own Chris Gaubatz unearthed a memo revealing the Hamas entity was working to influence “judiciary, intelligence, and homeland security committees” (Council on American-Islamic Relations 2007-2008 Strategic Plan).

Following these revelations, in October 2009, Congresswoman Sue Myrick (NC) called for investigations into the Hamas (CAIR) plan to put Muslims inside committees and on staffs to influence and gather intelligence.  Democrats came to the defense of Hamas/CAIR (Conyers, Honda, Velazquez, Lee).

In 2012, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and others called for U.S. government Inspectors General to investigate the penetration of the Muslim Brotherhood inside the U.S. government.  Republican leaders came to the Muslim Brotherhood’s defense (McCain, Rubio, Boehner).

None of this should be shocking to us.  In the Tafsir – the authoritative book of Islamic law which legally defines every verse in the Koran – Koranic verse 9:5 (“Fight and slay the unbelievers wherever you find them…”) is legally defined as follows: “…besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush, do not wait until you find them. Rather, seek and besiege them in their areas and forts, gather intelligence about them in the various roads and fairways so that what is made wide looks ever smaller to them.  This way, they will have no choice, but to die or embrace Islam.”  (Tafsir, Ibn Kathir)

Suit-wearing jihadis portray themselves as friends wanting to be helpful.  The facts reveal a very different picture.  There is an ongoing effort to penetrate the U.S. government by the Islamic Movement, and there is evidence readily available this effort has been very successful to date.  Efforts by those wanting to protect and defend the Republic are repudiated for doing so by people who should be batting for the home team. The influence operations and intelligence gathering by our enemy is effective.

To rip our enemies out of the many places they have lodged themselves in the government system will be a significant endeavor.  Americans must brace themselves as these efforts begin, because the hard-left marxists and jihadist will portray themselves as victims and our the leaders of the new administration as the “bad guys.”  There will much wailing and nashing of teeth worthy of Academy awards…

CIA Awards Saudi Crown Prince Counter-Terrorism Medal

Saudi Arabia’s state sponsorship of the hardline Wahhabi ideology exacerbates global extremism, medal or not.

Uh oh… This is NOT good…   Dave

Elliot Friedland              The Clarion Project                Sun, February 12, 2017

If the Saudis deserve a medal for their counter-terrorism program…

…shouldn’t we be doing what they are doing, in terms of immigration???   Dave

The CIA awarded Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, deputy prime minister and minister of Interior, with a medal for his services to “counter-terrorism.”

CIA Director Michael Pompeo presented the George Tenet medal to Prince bin Nayef during a trip to Riyadh in the presence of other senior members of the Saudi government.

Accepting the medal, bin Nayef told media that religion was completely separate from the actions of extremist groups, who misuse religion for their own purposes.

“We, God willing, continue to confront terrorism and extremism everywhere, and with thanks to God we have managed to thwart many terrorist plots from occurring,” he said. Bin Nayef and Pompeo also discussed many issues of mutual concern to the United States and Saudi Arabia, including but not limited to the fight against terrorism.

Clarion Project cannot comment on the specifics of this award to Prince bin Nayef, since we are not privy to the details of security cooperation against terrorism between Saudi Arabia and the United States. However, Saudi Arabia has certainly been instrumental in spreading an ideology which gives rise to Islamist terrorism.

Here are three things you need to know:

  1. The State Sponsored Religion of Saudi Arabia Is Very Similar to the Creed of ISIS
  2. Saudi Arabia Has Spent Billions Exporting Wahhabism Globally
  3. Saudi Arabia’s Regional Power Struggle With Iran Is Fueling Terrorism…

U.S. Oil Production Overshadows OPEC Cuts

This the beginning of the end of OPEC’s ability to manipulate the world to advance Islam…

Go ahead, OPEC… Keep cutting production…

It’ll just mean more revenue for us and more marginalization for you…   Dave

Matthew Rocco                February 13, 2017                FOX Business

A pick-up in American oil activity kept oil prices in check Monday, despite reports that OPEC producers are mostly sticking to their pledged cuts.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, which formed a pact to slow down its production of crude beginning in January, released its own data to show 93% compliance with production cuts. The Paris-based International Energy Agency also found high compliance among OPEC nations. According to the IEA’s report, OPEC’s January production achieved 90% of the planned cuts of 1.8 million barrels per day.

The numbers were better than analysts anticipated, and U.S. oil futures responded in kind Friday with a strong rally. However, another bump in the U.S. rig count reminded investors that OPEC’s cuts, while designed to reduce global supplies and lift prices, are encouraging American producers to get back to drilling.

“Weekly data suggest that U.S. production is rebounding more strongly than anticipated,” J.P. Morgan (JPM) wrote in a research note to clients Friday.

Analysts at the bank also believe domestic production is running at 9.2 million barrels per day, faster than the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s weekly figure of 8.9 million.

The cuts by OPEC, led by Saudi Arabia, are a driving force behind the U.S. oil industry’s reawakening. The number of rigs operating in the U.S. totaled 741 last week, according to Baker Hughes (BHI). That’s an increase of 12 versus the prior week and 200 year-over-year. Canada’s rig count is also on the rise, climbing by 130 rigs since the same week in 2016.

J.P. Morgan said U.S. oil inventories, as well as Canadian output, will keep downward pressure on prices for the time being. Construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, which has been fast-tracked for approval under the Trump administration, would further improve the economics of oil drilling in Canada…

Rights group says Pakistan forcing Afghan refugees home

If Pakistan can do it, we can do it… and for the same reasons…   Dave

Published February 12, 2017                     Associated Press

PESHAWAR, Pakistan –  In a scathing indictment of Pakistan’s treatment of Afghan refugees, a human rights group charged Monday that the country is forcing hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees back to their homeland, which is still beset by war and crushing poverty. It also said that a $400 stipend the United Nations refugee agency gives to refugees who return to Afghanistan is tantamount to a bribe to convince reluctant Afghans to leave Pakistan.

“The exodus amounts to the world’s largest unlawful mass forced return of refugees in recent times,” the Human Rights Watch report says.

Both the U.N. and Pakistan denied the allegations. In an interview, Indrika Ratwatte, Pakistan’s country representative for the U.N. refugee agency, said there was police harassment and arrests of Afghan refugees in mid-2016, particularly in the border province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but it was ended and refugees who returned, went home voluntarily.

“There were incidences of pressure and harassment especially in KP but they were addressed,” said Ratwatte. “But does it amount to forced return. No. it doesn’t.”

Still, the report was harsh in its criticism of the U.N. agency for not condemning what it insisted is Pakistan’s forced return of the refugees.

Meanwhile, Pakistan cited security concerns for seeking Afghan refugees’ return to their homeland, particularly after several brutal attacks by militants in Pakistan’s northwest, which the government linked to insurgents hiding out in neighboring Afghanistan. The worst attack was in December 2014 against an army public school in which 150 people were killed, most of them children…

Not feeling the love: Pakistan’s capital says ‘no’ to Valentine’s Day

Published February 13, 2017

Pakistan is still not a fan of Valentine’s Day.

This year, a judge in the capital city, Islamabad, banned Valentine’s Day celebrations, saying they violated Islamic teachings.

The judge ruled Monday on a petition seeking to ban public celebrations in Islamabad, court official Niaz Saleh told The Associated Press. He said the order has been sent to Pakistan’s media regulator to ensure a blackout on any Valentine’s Day promotions in print or electronic media.

Islamist and right-wing parties in Pakistan typically view Valentine’s Day as a vulgar Western import.

The celebrations were banned last year in Kohat, a city in the northwestern part of the country…

BLM Leader Says Whites ‘Sub-Human,’ Should Be ‘Wiped Out’

Black Lives Matter is heavily infiltrated with Islamists…

They advance Islam under the cover of racial politics…   Dave

Joseph Curl           The Daily Wire                 February 13, 2017

One of the founders of Black Lives Matter in Toronto says white people are “genetic defects” and should be “wiped out.”

Yusra Khogali has posted the controversial calls on her Facebook page, including another that says whites are “sub-human.”

“Whiteness is not humxness, in fact, white skin is sub-humxn,” she wrote. “All phenotypes exist within the black family and white ppl are a genetic defect of blackness.”

Khogali has garnered news coverage after BLM Toronto disrupted the Toronto Pride parade and engaged in heated confrontations with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. A year ago, she said: “Plz Allah give me strength to not cuss/kill these men and white folks out here today.”…

Decius Out of the Darkness: A Q&A with Michael Anton

American Greatness                February 12, 2017

The Huffington Post on Thursday published a story by foreign affairs reporter Jessica Schulberg highlighting the work of Michael Anton, also known as Publius Decius Mus. Headlined “Trump Aide Derided Islam, Immigration And Diversity, Embraced An Anti-Semitic Past,” Schulberg’s story examines Anton’s older writings and make some shocking claims about his view of the world, breathlessly reporting how he “promoted Trump’s anti-Islam, anti-immigration platform on fringe websites.” (Ahem.)

Then on Sunday, The Intercept published a piece by Peter Maass titled, “Dark Essays By White House Are the Intellectual Source Code of Trumpism.”

“Nobody in the administration has drawn up a real-time ideological blueprint to explain the intentional chaos of what’s happening under Trump,” writes Maass, “except, as it now turns out, Michael Anton, whose radical theories have been compared to those of a German philosopher named Carl Schmitt, who helped lay the legal foundations of the Nazi Party.”

Are these stories’ claims true? We asked our friend Michael, who was a senior contributing editor of American Greatness before taking a post with the National Security Council, to shed some light on the matter.

HuffPo and The Intercept basically say you’re an anti-semite, or something close to it. What do you say to that?

It’s completely outrageous but sadly typical of the slander culture perfected by the modern Left. They can’t debate ideas anymore and don’t even want to try. They just look for any way to connect their enemies—that’s what I am to them, an enemy—to some scurrilous person or outlook. Once that taint is on you, they then work to make it impossible to scrub out.

What’s especially risible about this is that I’m a Straussian. It’s metaphysically impossible to be an anti-Semitic Straussian. My great teacher, Harry Jaffa—a man I revere more than any other I’ve ever known—was Jewish. I will go to my grave with my two greatest intellectual influences, the two people who more than any others formed my mind, being Jewish. Anti-semite? Give me a break.

But that’s the modern Left for you. They will turn that around and say, “Oh that’s just the old ‘some of my best friends are Jewish’ line.” Which in my case, happens to be true. The point is, nothing you can say is considered a valid defense. Once they have the chance to smear you, they will do it and continue the smear because it serves their interests. The human damage that they cause, the destruction of reputations—they don’t care about that. Actually, they do care, but they see it as a positive. Enemies are to be destroyed by any means necessary…

Grassley: Declassify Obama’s Australia Refugee Deal

Solange Reyner            NewsMax              Sunday, 12 Feb 2017

Sen. Chuck Grassley on Twitter Sunday said he wanted an answer from the White House on why a deal the U.S. made with Australia to accept as many as 1,000 refugees hasn’t been declassified, the Hill reports.

Lower Tones: You got it in one – cheap, compliant labour! Forget all the heart-wrenching, wrist-wringing emotive stuff about looking after our fellows in need, ‘it’s all about the economy, stupid’. That certainly seems to be the case in America. However we’re finding in Australia that most of our Middle Eastern and African migrant-refugees are still unemployed 5 years after arrival!

The less disingenuous ones admit that they didn’t come here to work, they expected that our much vaunted welfare system, based on the ‘cradle to grave’ theory, would give them a living wage and free housing, education and health for the rest of their lives. Nobody mentioned work back in the village!…

Trump moves spark Iraqi anger, calls against future alliance

Losing Iraq as an ally is no loss at all…

In the wake of Obama’s withdrawal in 2012…

…Iraq became a satellite of our arch-enemy Iran…

Iraq cannot be an ally of both the U.S. and Iran…

…and Iraq willfully kicked us out a long time ago… that is, until ISIS became an existential threat…

They will kick us out again at the first opportunity…

…and after they do, they will fall apart again

They need us a lot more than we need them…

In fact, the smartest thing we could do is cut them off and quarantine the whole country…   Dave

BAGHDAD –  Reverberations from President Donald Trump’s travel ban and other stances are threatening to undermine future U.S.-Iraqi security cooperation, rattling a key alliance that over the past two years has slowly beaten back the Islamic State group.

Iraq’s prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, has sought to contain any backlash from public anger sparked by Trump’s executive order banning Iraqis from traveling to the U.S. Also breeding resentment and suspicion are Trump’s repeated statements that the Americans should have taken Iraq’s oil and his hard line against Iran, a close ally of al-Abadi’s government.

Al-Abadi and Trump spoke Thursday night for the first time since Trump’s inauguration. The U.S. leader, who has pledged a stronger fight against IS militants, promised increased help for Iraq against terrorism, and al-Abadi asked him to remove Iraq from the travel ban, according to an Iraqi official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the telephone call.

Iraqi anger at Washington comes at a crucial juncture in a long and often contentious relationship. U.S.-backed Iraqi forces are about to launch an assault aimed at retaking the western half of Mosul that is still under Islamic State control. If Mosul is completely secured, it largely would break the extremist group’s “caliphate” in the country.

However, Iraqi and U.S. officials have said maintaining security in a post-IS Iraq will be just as difficult — preventing a resurgence of the militants and containing political divisions among Iraq’s Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds. Both countries have talked of keeping some U.S. troops long term to back Iraq’s security forces in that task, a recognition that complete American withdrawal at the end of 2011 was a mistake…

Very bad news…

Sign Our Petition: Stop the Genocide. Defend Christians

Today, we are taking significant international action to defend dying Christians.

Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East are being barbarically beheaded, eviscerated, enslaved, and devastatingly driven from their homes.

One young woman from Iraq forced to be an ISIS sex slave recently said her experience was “more difficult than death” and “can’t be mentioned.”

Christians and other minorities pleading for their lives are saying, “No one cares about us like we are not human” and “We didn’t feel valued as humans.”

We’ve heard their cries and are taking direct international legal action TODAY at the U.N. Human Rights Council. Our global advocacy has already achieved formal recognition of ISIS’ genocide from the U.S. government and other world leaders.

Today, we are submitting the heartbreaking and infuriating facts that require the U.N. to recognize the ISIS genocide so the free world can take action to end this historic evil.

We won’t sit by as Christians die. Join us to make a massive impact for genocide victims today.

Sign Our Petition: Stop the Genocide. Defend Christians.

Tahrir al-Sham: Al-Qaeda’s latest incarnation in Syria

Until we deal with the real threat – Islamist ideology – we will never defeat the enemy…

It will always come back under a new name…   Dave

BBC              February 12, 2017

The Syrian jihadist group Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (JFS), known as al-Nusra Front until it broke off formal ties with al-Qaeda last July, has merged with four smaller Syrian factions and rebranded itself as “Tahrir al-Sham”.

The new group’s leader has been named as Hashim al-Sheikh, who previously served as the head of the powerful Islamist rebel group, Ahrar al-Sham.

Ahrar al-Sham itself has refused to join the new body and has been at loggerheads with JFS in northern Syria.

On 9 February, al-Shaikh delivered the group’s first leadership message in which he insisted the new entity was independent and not an extension of former organisations and factions.

By reinventing itself again, JFS appears to be trying to distance itself from its al-Qaeda past and embed itself more deeply within the Syrian insurgency.

No mention has been made of JFS leader Abu Mohammed al-Julani in any of the new group’s communications. But he is widely believed to be serving as its military commander.

‘Full merger’

JFS announced the creation of “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” (which translates in English as Liberation of Levant Organisation) in a statement that was released on 28 January via its channel on the messaging app Telegram.

The statement indicated that the groups which had agreed to join would dissolve themselves and “merge fully” into the new entity.

This was further reiterated in al-Shaikh’s recent message which described the new body as a “melting pot for all factions”.

In addition to JFS, Tahrir al-Sham founding groups included: Nur al-Din Zinki Movement (one of the most important opposition factions in Aleppo); jihadist Ansar al-Din Front; the Homs-based Jaysh al-Sunnah; and Liwa al-Haqq (operates in Idlib, Aleppo and Hamah).

The new entity also received the endorsement of six prominent Syria-based jihadist clerics, including the charismatic Saudi-born Abdullah al-Muhaisini. The clerics signed a separate statement announcing their intention to join Tahrir al-Sham.

Since the creation of the new entity, JFS has issued no new propaganda under the JFS brand, suggesting that it has been dissolved…
