Part 1: New vid purports to show $400M paid to Iran
Iran might have a video of America’s $400 million cash payment to the regime after all — even though Donald Trump backed off such claims early Friday amid intense criticism.
An apparent Iranian TV documentary in February about the prisoner swap in fact shows pallets of cash, which the narrator indicates is the $400 million payment in question. The video was posted to YouTube this week, after new controversy erupted over the payout.
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that the payment, made in cash, coincided with the release of four Americans, fueling charges that the U.S. paid Tehran a “ransom.”
The narrator in the video, speaking in Farsi, describes the money as part of a “swap.”
“In this exchange, the Iranians demand the entire four-hundred million in addition to $1.3 billion in deferred interest,” the narrator says. “The morning of 17 January 2016, Mehrabad Airport. Four-hundred million dollars in cash is transported to Iran by airplane.”
The video originates from the site “Ansarclip.ir” and is believed to be an Iranian documentary aired after the U.S. prisoner release. FoxNews.com cannot verify the authenticity of the footage or the claims made in it.
The administration has insisted the money was separate from the prisoner release, part of a $1.7 billion payment stemming from an unfulfilled arms deal — a payment the administration announced in January.
But critics have called it ransom, and Trump told crowds Wednesday and Thursday there was video of the money being handed over — and that the tapes were handed over by Iran to embarrass the U.S.
“The tape was made right, you saw that? With the airplane coming in — nice plane — and the airplane coming in and the money coming off I guess, right?” Trump told a crowd in Portland, Maine, on Thursday. “That was given to us, has to be, by the Iranians and you know why the tape was given to us? Because they want to embarrass our country, they want to embarrass our country.”
A couple points, to clear up the Obama gang’s obfuscations…
First, just because this $400 Million payment was a part of the negotiated settlement announced in January…
…does not mean it wasn’t a ransom…
It just means that it was part of a package deal that included the hostages in the trade…
Second, you may wonder what other choice Obama had…
…if he wanted to get the hostages…
What he should have done was make the release of the hostages a precondition…
…for any negotiations on the Iran Deal…
At the time, Iran’s economy was tanking and they were desperate for money…
They would have been willing to release the hostages…
…simply to get to the negotiating table… Dave

One of the four Americans prisoners released by the Iranian government earlier this year has voiced his belief that the U.S. paid a $400 million ransom for his freedom.
In an interview on Fox Business on Thursday, Saeed Abedini said that it was the strange timing of their release back in January that leads him to believe that the U.S. broke one of it’s core principles not to pay ransoms. Abedini recalled being brought to an airport to leave the country, but not being able to depart because their captors were waiting on another mysterious plane to take off.
‘I just remember the night that we’d been in a[n] airport, just take hours and hours there. And I asked one of the…police that was with us, that, why are you not letting us to go to the…plane? And he told me we are waiting for another plane, and if that plane take off, then we’re going to let you go,’ Abedini remembered.
When host Trish Regan asked him if the Iranians were ‘effectively waiting for the money to come in’ before letting him go, Abedini said ‘Yeah. They didn’t talk about money. They just told us about the – they told me about the place’…
Abedini spent eight years holed up in an Iranian prison, after he was caught trying establish Christian churches in the country. He said he is grateful that the U.S. negotiated his freedom, but says there’s many others still unjustly held prisoner in the Persian nation.
A report published earlier this week pointed to the almost simultaneous timing of the prisoner’s release and the arrival of a plane with $400million in cash from the U.S. government.
President Obama said that the money was to settle an old debt, and had nothing to do with the prisoners. He pointed out that the payment, along with an additional $1.3 billion in interest to be paid later, was announced by the administration publicly when it was concluded in January, a day after the implementation of a landmark nuclear agreement with Iran…

A pay-off that does all the damage of a ransom payment isn’t any better, no matter what you call it.
One of my all-time favorite lines is from Henry Thoreau: “Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout in the milk.”
It came to mind this week when the White House and State Department insisted that the charge the U.S. paid a ransom to get back American hostages was purely circumstantial. Sometimes, a $400 million pay-off in laundered money, delivered in the dead of night in an unmarked cargo plane isn’t what it looks like.
January 16 was “Implementation Day” for the nuclear deal between the United States and Iran, in which the state sponsor of terror received sanctions relief possibly worth as much as $150 billion — which would be roughly equivalent to 40 percent of its GDP — in exchange for some guarantees against developing nuclear weapons . . . for a while. (The merits, and even the nature, of the Iran nuclear deal are hotly disputed, but that’s a topic for another time.)
That same day, the Obama administration announced a prisoner swap between the U.S. and Iran, in which we traded 7 Iranian criminals and removed another 14 from an Interpol “most wanted” list. In exchange, they returned four innocent Americans, illegally held by the Iranian regime. Back then, Secretary of State John Kerry boasted about what a masterful diplomatic breakthrough it was. Those Americans were freed thanks to “the relationships forged and the diplomatic channels unlocked over the course of the nuclear talks,” Kerry preened.
Yes, well maybe. But few things really cement a solid working relationship like $400 million in cash. Kerry failed to mention that part in his press conferences or Congressional testimony. In fact, the Obama administration kept the whole thing a secret.
The White House concedes that it all looks very bad. But it insists this was in no way a ransom payment; the trout got in the milk for perfectly normal reasons. You see, the Iranians were suing for funds deposited with the Pentagon in 1979 for a weapons purchase that was later blocked when the ayatollahs deposed the Shah. The $400 million wasn’t a ransom; it was simply the first installment of a $1.7 billion dollar settlement of that dispute. “We would not, we have not, we will not pay ransom to secure the release of U.S. citizens,” top White House flack Josh Earnest insisted. That the money was delivered to coincide with the release of our hostages is little more than a funny coincidence.
And shame on you for thinking otherwise, Earnest seemed to be saying Wednesday. The $400 million drop-off was actually a great success for smart diplomacy, because it saved taxpayers “potentially billions” more if the arbitration over the matter hadn’t gone our way.
Still, one wonders why, if it was such a laudable and innocent money-saving maneuver, they kept it all secret from the American people…
Israel’s Ministry of Defense blasted President Obama’s statement that Israel acknowledges the benefits of the Iran nuclear deal.
United with Israel August 5, 2016
The Israel Defense Ministry released a strong statement in direct response to President Obama’s contention that Israel now acknowledges the benefits of the nuclear deal with Iran, comparing the deal to the failed Munich pact with the Nazis prior to World War II.
“The Israeli defense establishment believes that agreements have value, only if they are based on an existing reality, and that they have no value if the facts on the ground are completely the opposite of [the concepts] on which an agreement is based on,” the Ministry said.
While praising the US deal with Iran, Obama had claimed that the “Israeli military and security community acknowledges this has been a game changer, the country that was most opposed to the deal.”
The Defense Ministry said that “the Munich agreement did not prevent the Second World War and the Holocaust, precisely because their basic assumption, that Nazi Germany could be a partner to any kind of agreement, was wrong, and because the leaders of the world at that time ignored the explicit statements by Hitler and the rest of the leaders of Nazi Germany.”
“Hence, the defense establishment, like the rest of the Israeli people and many in the world, understands that agreements of this kind signed between the world powers and Iran are not helpful, but only harm the uncompromising struggle that must be undertaken against a terrorist state like Iran.”…
The sudden rise of Leftist groups during Obama’s reign is not some kind of coincidence…
As this article confirms, following the money that fuels them…
…often leads to hostile foreign entities…

The greatest threat to national security today isn’t ISIS, or China, or Russia or even the administration’s favorite bogey, climate change. The greatest threat is the Islamic Republic of Iran, a regime that has been on a war footing toward the United States since 1979, mandates chants of “Death to America” in every mosque in the country at Friday prayers, and now, thanks to President Obama and John Kerry, is on the fast track to obtaining nuclear weapons.
Iran is not as flashy as ISIS but is actively working now on numerous anti-American initiatives that could turn out to be even more lethal than anything ISIS has yet perpetrated. In June 2011 Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared: “Wherever a movement is Islamic, populist and anti-American, we support it.”
In 2012, Khamenei called for terror attacks in the West — but now, because of Obama, Iran is newly flush with billions of dollars in sanctions relief to finance such attacks.
As I show in my new book “The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran,” the nation is a breeding ground for terrorist activity: funding and controlling a global network of jihad terror organizations with a truly global reach, ready to do Iran’s bidding up to and including the killing of its perceived enemies. Chief in this network is Hezbollah, a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Most notoriously, Hezbollah was responsible for the murder of 241 US servicemen in the bombing of military barracks in Beirut in 1983.
Iran has also been implicated in the bankrolling of the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, which housed members of the US Air Force, and in the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, in which over 200 people were killed.
Iran’s Hezbollah doesn’t just operate in Lebanon. It continues to target the United States through Mexico, where it has teamed with drug cartels along the US border. This partnership is mutually beneficial: Hezbollah gets massive amounts of cash to finance its jihad operations, and the drug cartels receive extensive training in ways to strike terror into the hearts of their enemies. That is one principal reason why the Mexican drug cartels have adopted what up until recently had been two trademarks of jihad groups: kidnapping and beheading.
It’s not just Hezbollah that Iran bankrolls. Despite the Sunni/Shiite divide, the Sunni jihad groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as well as the Shiite Houthis in Yemen and the Iraqi Shiite group Kata’ib Hezbollah are all funded by the Islamic Republic. Nor does it work only through jihad terror groups: It has funded the Spanish left-wing populist party, Podemos — a vivid illustration of how the international left and the global jihad movement can and do make common cause against the West…

The conversation we aren’t having: Mass immigration from Muslim-majority countries remains an insane policy.
Watching the fallout of Donald Trump’s mishandling of the Khizr Khan affair over the last week, it seems that our media is fully enjoying open season for Trump hunting. It’s an all-too-familiar time of year for the GOP, whose presidential nominees, fair or fowl, continuously draw fire from the liberal media right around the time of the national conventions and continuing on through early November. To use a duck-hunting metaphor, the media and Hillary Clinton were sitting in their blinds, having set up their sleek and shiny Khizr Khan decoy within firing range, and were just waiting for an overly enthusiastic and careless Donald Trump to fly in and land nearby. And then—BANG!
The media and Democrats hope that once they bag their trophy Trump, there will be nobody to ask those pesky questions about the Obama/Clinton immigration policy of bringing in tens of thousands of impossible-to-vet Muslim migrants to the U.S. each year, and that Democrats won’t have to explain what unique skills and talents these immigrants, en masse, are bringing here that justify their being granted citizenship. Too many Republicans, understandably discomfited by Trump’s rhetoric, are too eager to comply.
Let us stipulate up front that the Khan incident showed all of the things about Trump that conservatives (and many others) loathe: the thin skin, the vulgarity, the poor judgment, and last, but certainly not least, the unwarranted and cruel criticism of a family that has indeed sacrificed something of great value for America. A better and more in-control man would have simply saluted the Khan family’s sacrifice, expressed regret at their criticism, and explained how he felt his policies would keep America safer than Hillary Clinton’s. Occasionally, Trump made gestures in that direction, but they were inevitably drowned in an ocean of needless bluster and confrontation.
All that having been said, what did the media, in its overwrought coverage of Khan’s father’s speech, the subsequent wall-to-wall interviews of Khan, and its relentless tut-tutting of Trump from various figures, hope to accomplish? Does anyone outside of a small but loud fringe element actually believe that there are not patriotic Muslim-American citizens? Did they think we aren’t aware that there are Muslim-American soldiers? Even those of us (myself included) who believe that to have increased Muslim immigration after 9/11 was an insane policy, believe that most Muslim-Americans simply want the things that all other Americans want—peace and prosperity for their families and the opportunities that America offers. And most of them, and their children, will make fine American citizens.
But that isn’t really what’s at issue when deciding policy. If there is even a small but meaningful minority of such immigrants that are subject to radicalization, and evidence suggests there is, and a larger minority of Muslim immigrants who, while not supporters of terrorism, hold values – on gender relations, the role of religion in the state, on sharia law, on religious pluralism, or other issues, that are badly out of step with the traditional values of this country, then it is a good idea to be more cautious about granting that group the rights and privileges of American citizenship than we are about immigrants from non-Muslim countries and cultures. We need to consider what unique skills and assets each of these immigrants from these backgrounds will bring to America before we heedlessly and recklessly fling open the door to all of them. That’s just common sense: And common sense on immigration is very dangerous to the Democratic/GOP establishment and media agenda on immigration. Conveniently for them, they can focus on hunting Donald Duck, the GOP’s erratically flying waterfowl, instead.
To pretend that it is not relevant whether we welcome hundreds of thousands of immigrants from a religion in which large numbers of its adherents in survey after survey indicate hostility to the U.S. is not serious policy…

Lost in what has been a very rough week for Donald Trump is the fact that Hillary Clinton told a very big fib on Fox News about her emails.
In an interview with Chris Wallace, she said: “Director Comey said my answers were truthful, and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people, that there were decisions discussed and made to classify retroactively certain of the emails.”
Now Clinton is defending her statement. During a rare press conference on Friday, Hillary told the crowd she “may have short-circuited”.
She also made a second claim, that she’s never sent or received an email marked classified:
As FBI Director Comey made clear, however, that is also not the truth…

On July 3, 2016, Shawn Lucas and filmmaker Ricardo Villaba served the DNC Services Corp. and Chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz at DNC’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., in the fraud class action suit against the Democrat Party on behalf of Bernie Sanders supporters.
Shawn Lucas was thrilled about serving the papers to the DNC before Independence Day.
** This was before Wikileaks released documents proving the DNC was working against the Sanders campaign during the 2016 primary.
Shawn Lucas was found dead this week.
According to Snopes Lucas was found dead on his bathroom floor.
We contacted Lucas’ employer on 4 August 2016 to ask whether there was any truth to the rumor. According to an individual with whom we spoke at that company, Shawn Lucas died on 2 August 2016. The audibly and understandably shaken employee stated that interest in the circumstances of Lucas’ death had prompted a number of phone calls and other queries, but the company had not yet ascertained any details about Lucas’ cause of death and were unable to confirm anything more than the fact he had passed away.
An unconfirmed report holds that Lucas was found lying on the bathroom floor by his girlfriend when she returned home on the evening of 2 August 2016. Paramedics responding to her 911 call found no signs of life.

There is no secret that the IRS intentionally targeted tea party and conservative groups. IRS supervisor Lois Lerner was hung out as the Obama administration’s scapegoat but I still contend that Barack Obama was the person behind the targeting in the first place.
Consider the fact that before and during the IRS targeting of tea party and conservatives, then IRS Director Douglas Shulman was the most frequent Cabinet member to visit the White House. Shulman made 157 visits to the White House. During the same period of time, the second most frequent Cabinet member to visit the White House was Acting Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank with only 86 visit. In fact, Shulman visited the White House more times than the combined visits of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano.
Once the scandal broke, Obama’s own Justice Department was tasked with leading the investigation. Judicial Watch sought the documents concerning that investigation, only to be denied by the Justice Department for 2 years. Finally, they have obtained the documents they requested through the Freedom of Information Act only to find out that then US Attorney General Eric Holder selected a member of the DOJ with strong prejudicial ties to Obama and the Democratic National Committee.
According to the recent report from Judicial Watch: “Judicial Watch today released a letter from the Justice Department admitting that Democratic Party/Obama campaign donor and Justice Department attorney Barbara Bosserman spent 1,529.25 hours investigating the IRS’ targeting of conservative organizations in 2010 and 2012. According to Federal Election Commission records, Bosserman contributed $6,750 to Obama campaigns and the DNC from 2004 to 2012, including 12 separate contributions to Obama for America between 2008 and 2012. The Obama Justice Department and FBI investigations into the Obama IRS scandal resulted in no criminal charges… In what House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darryl Issa (R-CA) called ‘a startling conflict of interest,’ Bosserman was appointed by then-Attorney General Eric Holder to oversee the FBI investigation despite her being a substantial contributor to the political campaigns of Barack Obama and to the Democratic National Committee (DNC).”
Richard Nixon ended up impeached and resigning from the presidency because he tried to cover up the Watergate scandal. He was charged with obstruction of justice and contempt of Congress.
Obama is guilty of the same and worse. He has used his Justice Department on more than one occasion to obstruct justice, using his little puppet Eric Holder. Don’t forget that Holder ordered his own DOJ staff to drop all federal felony charges against two members of the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation during the 2008 election. They were videoed intimidating voters outside a Philadelphia polling station. When Holder ordered all charges dropped, the DOJ attorney handling the case was so upset that he quit his job with the DOJ because of the corruption which started at the top. Incidentally, the two members of the New Black Panthers against whom the charges were dropped were the same two men with whom Barack Obama marched with in 2007 in Selma, Alabama…

Nearly half of the detainees remaining at Guantanamo Bay are slated for transfer, a Pentagon official confirmed to Fox News. Of the 76 remaining detainees, 34 have been approved for transfer to countries that have agreed to accept them, according to spokeswoman Valerie Henderson. Thirty-two other detainees are slated to have their cases heard by a Department of Defense review board.
Not all the detainees that get transferred to other countries will go to prison, however, and the details of the terms of each transfer with other nations remain a secret.
Ten other detainees at Gitmo cannot be transferred based on the severity of the charges they face.
The developments continue to fuel concerns among critics that some of these detainees could return to terror. They cite statistics from the Director of National Intelligence that say nearly 30 percent of those who have been released have returned to the battlefield or have been suspected of doing so.
While President Obama has called those transferred to date “low level individuals,” defense officials with knowledge of the recent transfers and of those remaining at the detention center call these men the “worst of the worst.”
Some of the detainees approved for transfer out of Gitmo were involved in the 9/11 attacks, according to Thomas Joscelyn, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Earlier this year, a detainee transferred to Uruguay in 2014 went missing. It is rumored that Jihad Ahmed Mustafa Dhiab, an Al Qaeda operative, traveled to Syria to rejoin his old cohorts, but other officials are concerned the Syrian national may still be in South America and could be plotting an attack in Brazil during the Olympics.
In recent months, Republicans on Capitol Hill have put forth legislation to prevent the transfer of the remaining detainees…

CANBERRA, Australia – Australian state governments have agreed to change laws so they can keep high-risk people convicted under terrorism laws in prison after they have served their sentences.
State and territory attorneys-general said at a meeting at Parliament House on Friday that they had in-principle given support to a federal plan of indefinite detention for convicted terrorists who are likely to reoffend.
The new laws could apply to 13 prisoners who are serving lengthy sentences in Australian prisons for federal terrorism offenses after several plots were thwarted in Sydney and Melbourne. Several of them have openly voiced support for extremist groups, including the Islamic State group.
The laws could also apply to another 36 suspects who are awaiting trial on serious terrorism charges…

On Monday, the California State Assembly passed House Resolution 59, with bipartisan support, officially declaring August 2016 “Muslim Appreciation and Awareness Month.” This is the same state that always seems to be threatening religious liberty (at least when it comes to Christians).

HR-59 was introduced in June by Assemblyman Bill Quirk after he was reportedly approached by a community activist. According to NBC, the resolution “comes at a time of increased anti-Muslim rhetoric.”
Quirk told NBC, “Unfortunately, the Muslim community has been, and continues to be, the target of harassment, discrimination and assaults…. A big and very disturbing story has erupted in Gaza involving the Christian charity World Vison and Hamas, the Islamic terrorist group.
After a comprehensive investigation by the Israeli government, the director of World Vision’s Gaza operation, Mohammed el-Halabi, has been charged with diverting aid funds meant to help children to Hamas and its military operations.
Apparently, el-Halabi has been a Hamas member since his youth. Investigators discovered that he created fictitious humanitarian projects that provided “cover” for the transfer of funds to Hamas. One example cited was a greenhouse project that was then used to hide sites where Hamas was building tunnels to launch terror attacks in Israel.
The list of projects that ended up benefitting Hamas is breathtaking. $1.5 million a year from World Vision’s budget was given in cash to Hamas combat units, according to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Another $2 million earmarked for education and health in Gaza went instead for payments to the families of Hamas terrorists.
The World Vision money used in this Hamas plot originated in aid money from the United States, England and Australia. Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has suspended funding of World Vison programs in Palestine. The U.S. should do the same.
John Guandolo Understanding the Threat August 4, 2016
Naive and soft-minded Christians should open their eyes and ears and hear this: The “Palestinian Cause” you cry over and support has always been about supporting Hamas – a designated terrorist organization. You are too ignorant and too willingly blind to know it.
Israeli security officials revealed, and CBN News has reported, that Mohammed El-Halabi, the Director of the Gaza Branch of World Vision – one of the leading charitable Christian organizations on earth – funneled over $42 million to Hamas over six years. The Israelis also report El-Halabi (a Hamas operative) was specifically tasked by Hamas with penetrating World Vision for the explicit purpose of stealing money to be used for weapons and other war-fighting instruments.
Read the CBN article HERE.
The Israeli officials also revealed Halil El-Halabi (Mohammed’s father), who was the Director of the United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA), is “also a member of Hamas and uses his position to serve the terrorist organization.”
It should be noted that Hamas is the Palestinian branch of the International Muslim Brotherhood – the organization the U.S. government uses as the liaison between itself and the American Muslim community – and whose stated objective is “civilization jihad” to overthrow the U.S. government and replace it with an Islamic State.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s civilization jihad primarily uses espionage and counterintelligence operations, including political influence, subversion, propaganda, and other similar operations, to gain support in the West, especially the United States. This is what we see with Hamas’ penetration of World Vision and the UN, and what we see in the “Interfaith Outreach” programs across North America. It is all driven by Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood organizations and leaders: suit-wearing jihadis who speak peacefully but whose objective is the same as Al Qaeda and ISIS.
American Christian leaders have demonstrated an usual amount of naiveté and gross ignorance when it comes to dealing with U.S. Muslim leaders, nearly all of whom are Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood operatives.
There is a lesson here for American Christian leaders: “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”…

The pace of Syrian refugees entering the U.S. has surged in recent weeks, government figures show, putting the Obama administration on track to meet its target of admitting 10,000 Syrian refugees before the end of September -– and reviving Republican concerns about the security implications.
State Department reports show that 2,340 Syrian refugees arrived last month in the United States. That’s more than what occurred during the entire seven months after President Obama directed his team to prepare for 10,000 admissions from the war-torn country. Total admissions for the current budget year, which ends Sept. 30, now come to about 7,900, and the vast majority of them are Sunni Muslims, records show.
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said earlier this week the U.S. is on track to meet the 10,000-refugee goal. If the pace from June and July continues this month, the target should be reached with a couple of weeks to spare, before Obama heads to the United Nations to urge world leaders to admit more refugees and increase funding for relief organizations.
But amid new predictions from FBI Director James Comey of a “terrorist diaspora out of Syria,” some Republicans are ramping up warnings that the flow of refugees poses a threat to America and Western Europe.
Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Fla., urged President Obama in a letter Thursday to “immediately stop accepting Syrian refugees as a matter of national security.”
He wrote: “We are seeing a clear pattern in which a number of recent attacks have been carried out by ISIS terrorists with ties to Syria, including: the July 24 bombing of a music festival in Germany; the July 26 killing of a French priest; and the July 24 murder of a German woman with a machete. Syrian refugees played a part, either as attackers or accomplices, in all three attacks. In the context of this clear threat, your goal of admitting 10,000 Syrians as a part of a so-called ‘surge operation’ is extremely troubling. … Terrorists are leaving Syria disguised as refugees and carrying out attacks in the West. The prudent course of action is to halt all admissions of Syrians into the U.S. until the safety of Americans can be guaranteed,”…
In a statement Thursday night, the Donald Trump campaign said the administration was “dangerously expediting their admission.”…

I try not to seethe over injustices that I can do nothing to correct, but sometimes I have to vent and pray.
Two days ago, the U.S. State Department released its Syrian refugee resettlement figures, showing that our administration is on target to reach the 10,000 resettled refugees target set by President Obama for this fiscal year, ending October 1, 2016. (Even this target, for which the President has taken some flak for its being too high, is a mere drop in the proverbial bucket — some 5 million Syrians are now counted as refugees by the UN.) So far, 7551 Syrians have been admitted to our shores since October 2015. Well and good. Of those, 7432 (98.4%) are Sunni Muslims, even though before hostilities in Syria broke out they comprised about 74% of the population and faced little to no persecution. Christians comprised about 10% of the population, but have been perhaps the most fiercely persecuted religious groups since the brutality began. How many Syrian Christian refugees has our administration welcomed into this country during fiscal year 2016 so far? 35. That’s less than one half of one percent of the total number of Syrian refugees settled (.46% to be exact)! Of the remaining 84 that we have welcomed in 2016:
- 50 are Muslims (other)
- 20 are Muslims (Shia)
- 10 are Yazidis
- 3 are “other religions” (undisclosed)
- 1 is “no religion.”
The last three months (May through July) have seen the bulk of Syrian refugees admitted in FY2016 – it seems in order to reach Mr. Obama’s target, the State Department has cut down the normal 18-24 month vetting period to only 3 months, while still reassuring us that their screening process is relatively foolproof. Of the total 7551 Syrian refugees to have entered the USA so far this year, 5815 were admitted from May through July. Of these:
- 0 are Yazidis
- 1 is “no religion”
- 2 are “other religions”
- 3 are Shiite Muslims
- 25 are Christians
- 27 are Muslims, other
- 5,757 are Sunni Muslims.
I wrote about this obvious imbalance when May’s figures were released (see here). Since then it has only gotten worse. If the present administration is really interested in accelerating the process of resettling Syrian refugees who will be no threat to the security of this country, the fastest way would be to focus on the two groups which are most heavily persecuted, who just incidentally also happen to be non-Muslim, and hence not susceptible to jihadi indoctrination – the Yazidis and the Christians…

On June 29th this blog described a report from Reuters that stated that the White House would be launching a “Call to Action” to encourage American companies to commit to employing refugees. This “call” is in collaboration with the UN and coincides nicely with the summit on the global refugee crisis that President Obama will be hosting during the UN General Assembly in September.
Since the overwhelming majority of refugees who constitute the current “crisis” are Muslim, it is prudent to look behind the veil of humanitarianism to see just what employing Muslim refugees might entail for U.S. companies.
One very important statistic that potential employers should be aware of is that, despite representing only 1% of the U.S. population, people who practice Islam filed 40% of the religion-based complaints that were filed with the U.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Commission in 2015.
These complaints range from allegations of denial of employment based on the religion of the applicant, disputes regarding companies’ dress policies, failure to accommodate the needs for multiple prayer breaks during work shifts, to general failures by companies to provide “religious accommodation.”
A review of a U.S. EEOC January 2016 list of “Resolved Cases Alleging Religious and National Origin Discrimination Involving the Muslim, Sikh, Arab, Middle Eastern and South Asian Communities” revealed some interesting data and facts that should be of interest to all U.S. employers who might find themselves persuaded by the hype from the White House (and by the tax incentives!).
Millions of dollars have been paid by companies small and large as ordered by courts to resolve cases of religious discrimination against Muslims. To cite a few of these cases: $240,000 awarded to two employees of a transport company who refused to transport alcohol because of their religious beliefs and were subsequently fired (the jury felt they should have been reassigned to a less offensive shipment); $44,654 awarded to an applicant who was not hired because she wore a hijab to her interview ($25,671 to the applicant for back pay from the job she didn’t get and $18,983 to the EEOC for costs); several cases of employees who claimed discrimination because they were not allowed to have beards (usually in the food industry or healthcare); many cases of discrimination for not allowing hijabs to be worn in the workplace; numerous cases of alleged harassment by other employees that were not corrected or were ignored by management…

This is no surprise, since resettlement contractors like Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service are given millions of your dollars every year (more than 90% of their funding comes from you!) to bring refugees to your towns, they spend a lot of time pressuring Washington for more moola!
This is what their head-honcho (Linda Hartke) is saying on their website. Thanks to a reader ‘domstudent11’ for sending it…
Time is Ticking Away to Provide Critical Refugee Funding
Linda Hartke Redefining Welcom August 1, 2016
The days left on the Congressional calendar are numbered, and yet, funding provisions to respond to the greatest humanitarian crisis of our lifetime have not been allocated.
Congress has from now until September to pass funding bills for Fiscal Year 2017 that ensure critical funding for refugee resettlement. However, the draft text cripples the U.S. Refugee Admissions program and reduces resources for refugees at a time when our commitment to serving uprooted men, women, and children is needed most.
With more displaced people today than ever before, funding for refugees programs cannot afford a spending cut. The United States has signaled commitment to resettle 100,000 refugees in Fiscal Year 2017, a mere fraction of the global need, yet the proposed funds would cap refugee admissions at no more than 75,000. At least 25,000 vulnerable refugees will spend another long year without the life-saving protection they deserve.
Furthermore, the funding cut fails to reflect the outpouring of support and welcome for refugees you all have demonstrated across the country. With over 75 years of experience resettling and providing integration support to refugees, we know there is ample community support to help 100,000 refugees rebuild their lives in the United States in FY17.
We need your help to call on appropriators to echo our commitment through robust funding. During the Congressional recess from now until Labor Day, you can take the following actions…
A five-year-old girl was raped and urinated upon by three Muslim migrant boys in Twin Falls, Idaho; one of them, a 14-year-old, videotaped the attack. After the attack, instead of getting justice, the victim’s family has been abused and targeted by law enforcement and medical authorities as if they were the criminals. The mother cannot get copies of the medical records of her own child, or transcripts of 9-1-1 calls made on the day of the attack.
Pamela Geller Breitbart News 16 Jul 2016
In examining notes taken of their conversations with the victim’s mother, I was taken aback by how contemptuous they are of her. They talk down to her, as if she were the perpetrator, not the mother of the victim of this monstrous attack.
It is outrageous. And it gets worse. The supposedly seven-year-old rapist who put his penis in the girl’s mouth, urinated on her and in her mouth, and who reportedly owned the blue pocket knife that he used to threaten her, was never even removed from his home. That family still lives next door to the victim. For the longest time, the attacker wasn’t even limited in his access to the community’s children; now he must be supervised by someone 14 years old or older. When they stipulated this, the court had to have been aware that the boy who videotaped the rape was 14. This a gross insult against this victimized family — and a direct result of a judge’s decision.
Meanwhile, the neighbor of the family who caught the perpetrators in the act, an elderly woman known to all as “Grandma Jo,” has been living in constant terror since she first happened upon the grisly scene. She has been stalked by the Iraqi family of the seven-year-old attacker. Her apartment is back-to-back with theirs; they peer into her windows and pace back and forth in front of her apartment in a clearly menacing manner.
The victim’s family has received no assistance — no financial aid from federal or state programs to help them relocate. It is almost impossible to find a place to rent because of the housing shortage due to the sudden crush of refugees. Rents have gone way up as well. The five-year-old rape victim is still living next door to the ringleader of the Muslim mob that raped her. She is terrified and won’t leave the house, as the attacker’s family members walk by the victim’s family’s windows and taunt them.
The poor girl desperately does want to play outside, but it isn’t safe to do so without parental supervision. Recently a carload of Muslim males pulled up in front of mother and daughter. The car stopped and its occupants stared them down. The mother witnessed one of the males run into the house and get something that appeared cylinder-like: at the time she was afraid it was a gun. Moments later, their house was being struck by bottle rockets. This isn’t an isolated case in Twin Falls, as there have been other reports of American homeowners having their homes struck by bottle rockets. And let’s be serious: these people are not celebrating the Fourth of July or Americanism.
The prosecuting attorney has gone out of his way to imply that this rape was false information. His interviews have led the media and public officials to deny clear facts of the case. The U.S. Attorney for Idaho even vowed to charge anyone who made false statements about the perps. The Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has whined that the case has become “a lightning rod for anti-Muslim, and anti-refugee sentiments.”…
TWIN FALLS, IDAHO – In a shocking and exclusive interview with Breitbart News, the father of a five-year-old girl that was allegedly raped by refugee children reveals that he watched 30 seconds of a video of the assault taken by one of the three boys charged with the crime. The father also revealed that the parents of the refugee children had urged him not to call the police when he first learned of the attack.
Additionally, new allegations against a ten-year-old boy who was involved in the June 2 attack were revealed in court on Thursday afternoon, alleging the boy both anally and orally penetrated the five-year-old, in addition to urinating on her, as revealed by the father in the clip below. Previously, it had only been known that a seven-year-old boy had orally penetrated the girl and urinated on her.
The little girl’s parents, concerned about biased media coverage as well as their own personal safety and that of their daughter, have not been interviewed on videotape until this Thursday’s interview with Breitbart News.
The father told Breitbart News how he’d gotten a call at work saying his daughter had been raped and left to see what had happened…
Michael Patrick Leahy Breitbart News 5 Aug 2016
Thousands of Muslim refugees are flowing into the small Idaho town of Twin Falls because of closed-door decisions made by a group of self-serving advocates in and around Washington D.C.
One key player is Lavinia Limón, CEO of the U.S. Committee on Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). That’s a government-backed group that is paid to place migrants in Americans’ towns. Her group is also called a “voluntary agency,” or ‘VOLAG.’ The group’s local affiliate, the College of Southern Idaho, has already placed 1,000 Iraqi refugees in Twin Falls.
Limón is married to a man that she met in Saudi Arabia while bringing refugees to the United States, and since 1975, she’s been using the government-supplied flood of unskilled and culturally distant migrants to convert Americans’ neighborhoods into “new American communities.” Most of the targeted neighborhoods are in politically weak towns far from wealthy districts, who are protected from migrant inflows by influential politicians.
Limón is part of a circle of Democratic progressive politicians who believe Americans’ government should not favor Americans over foreigners, and that all humans — Americans and Afghans, Christians and Muslims, skilled and unskilled, healthy and diseased — should be welcomed in the United States. She is allied with various business groups — plus their GOP supporters — who use each annual inflow of migrant workers as replacements for prior years’ migrants, many of whom flee to better and safer jobs.
She was named director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) by President Bill Clinton in 1993, where she worked for Donna Shalala, who was Secretary of Health and Human Services. These days, Shalala is the current president of the Clinton Foundation.
Before she left ORR in 2001, Limón funded a 48-page report that published in 2004 by the Migration Policy Institute. That report, titled, “Building the New American Community: Newcomer Integration and Inclusion Experiences in Non-Traditional Gateway Cities.” is the how-to plan used by migration activists to transform small cities into refugee homes by partnering with local institutions, such as the Chamber of Commerce and community/technical colleges.
Limón took over the U.S. Committee on Refugees and Immigrants in 2001, and she used the how-to plan to push migrants into Twin Falls. Other cities who got migrants include Lowell, Massachusetts, Nashville, Tennessee and Portland, Oregon, all of which were “model programs” touted in the 2004 Migration Policy Institute study…
The nonpartisan GAO reports to Congress that over half a million women and girls in the United States are now either victims or at risk of this barbaric practice.
Counter Jihad August 2, 2016
The General Accounting Office (GAO) is one of the few allegedly nonpartisan outlets that is generally thought really to be reasonably fair and nonpartisan. Their new report on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) should be taken seriously as an honest investigation of the scope of the problem.
What they find is that cases have tripled since the last time they looked into it. This is due not to an increase of the practice among Americans, they say, but to increased immigration from Muslim nations in Africa. They also find that, though the practice is a crime in the United States, there have been almost no prosecutions for it. Likewise, the State Department has largely failed to make preventing FGM a priority in its overseas operations.
The Washington Free Beacon reports that this failure compares very badly to similar State Department efforts to spread condoms and birth control:
“U.S. assistance efforts to address FGM/C are limited,” according to the GAO report. “The Department of State (State) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) each had one active standalone project in 2014, and the agencies also undertook some FGM/C-related efforts as components of projects with broader assistance goals.”
The State Department’s only stand-alone effort specifically targeting female genital mutilation is in Guinea, and has only received $1.5 million over 2 years. The amount is less than what Daniel Resnic received from taxpayers for his so-called origami condoms.
In contrast, the U.S. Agency for International Development spent $85.6 million on contraception for developing countries in 2014 alone.
…the government has also not provided funding to a United Nations program dedicated to combating the practice.
“The U.S. government provides funding to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and UNICEF but, to date, has not contributed funds to the UN agencies’ Joint Program on FGM/C…. there are currently no specific legal restrictions that would prohibit U.S. funding provided to UNFPA from being available for the Joint Program on FGM/C,” the GAO said.
FGM is a practice strongly associated with Islam within Africa, although it is also widely practiced in Islamic nations in southeast Asia. Other nations outside of those regions, though Muslim, do not show the same rates of mutilation of women. In Muslim nations that do widely practice FGM the structure of sharia reinforces the practice, as it fits nicely into the religious codes regulating women’s behavior. Like the requirements to veil and sequester themselves in female areas of the home, FGM promotes an ideal of female sexual “purity” that is at the core of Islamic ethics for women…
