Desperate & Delusional Harry Reid Cries: “The Tea Party is Anarchist!”

Posted: October 4, 2013 at 9:00 am   /   by

In the clip below, a frustrated and desperate old man tries to defend Big Government with childish name-calling.  He is Harry Reid, and he is losing his fight against We the People.

In this short clip, Reid doubles down on his desperate, whiny, name-calling strategy.  He again calls Tea Party Movement (TPM) advocates anarchists. Absurdly, he claims that those who believe in Constitutionally limited government don’t believe in government at any level.

What can we take from this?

First, shame on him. Reid is slandering our nation’s Founders and Framers as well as the TPM. Our Framers designed for us a federal government limited to a set of enumerated powers, explicitly written, in black-letter law, in our Constitution. That is exactly what the TPM believes in and exactly what Reid does not. To the contrary, Reid and his cohorts in both parties embrace ever-more-powerful government as the best thing there ever was.

Second, we know that the alternative to limited government is exactly the kind of creeping tyranny that has been building for 100 years in America and that is now peaking in the boiling crescendo called Obamacare.  Through our elected House of RepresentativesWe the People are finally speaking up and taking peaceful action. The Constitution’s slumbering protections for the people (not the politicians) are finally beginning to work. And the results are driving Big Government aficionados crazy — in both parties.

Third, note Reid’s reference to the (genuine) Anarchist movements of the early 20th century. They’re about as far from the TPM as one could get. In fact, it is the modern-day Occupy Wall Street Movement that actually does have its roots in anarchism.  That’s the movement praised by Nancy Pelosi and other modern-day progressive Democrats.  Is there anyone who seriously believes the TPM is sympatico with the Occupy Wall Street Movement??

Fourth, as we see Reid grasping at these straws, as we see Obama making gratuitous (even dangerous) threats to sabotage our nation’s credit rating, and as we see Obama and his minions shutting down war memorials and White House tours, we can conclude only one thing:  they’re losing, and they’re desperate to cause some pain that they think the media will help them blame Republicans for.

But they are losing. All their data-gathering outside the Beltway and the Democrat-servile media tells them that they’re losing to a peaceful revolution of the American people.  And as they continue losing, we should expect their absurd accusations and juvenile, spiteful behaviors to accelerate.

Let’s just make sure we keep fighting and backing the right people in Washington.  If we and our representatives stand firm, the whole rotten edifice of Leftism is going to collapse in on itself.
