Boston Bombing Roundup: Meet the Family, Media Hide the Truth, Benghazi, and More

Posted: April 21, 2013 at 4:35 am   /   by

“If they killed him, then all hell would break loose.”  That’s what Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of Boston bomber Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, told ABC news. In another conversation with the Associated Press, Anzor Tsarnaev added that his son is a “true angel.”

Yeah Anzor, not so much.

While you can’t help but sympathize with any parent who finds out that his child has gone this far wrong, the reality is that his son murdered people and crippled others for life. There are other people who lost children, too. There are sons whose fathers will be crippled for life. There are mothers whose daughters are missing legs. There are parents who will never see their sons again because Anzor Tsarnaev’s son killed them.

Yet, he’s claiming that “all hell would break loose” if something happened to his son.  Well.. sorry, buddy, you’re a little too late on that front. Maybe if your son hadn’t grown up around someone who had that kind of mentality, none of us would be in this position today…

‘We got him!’ Second marathon suspect in custody after tense standoff

Published April 20, 2013

A day-long dragnet for the second of two brothers believed to be behind Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing ended Friday night, with police capturing the suspect covered in blood and hiding in a boat in the backyard of a man who called 911 after becoming suspicious of activity on his property.

“We got him,” Boston Mayor Tom Menino tweeted moments later, as neighbors gathered to form a gauntlet of cheers while a phalanx of police cars departed the scene…

‘Our hearts are sickened by the horror he inflicted’: Shocked family of All-American girl who converted to Islam to marry Boston bomber say tragedy proves ‘we never really knew him’ (Guess they hadn’t met the father-in-law…Dave)

  • Slain Chechen terror suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was married to middle class college student Katherine Russell, 24.
  • The couple have a three-year-old daughter called Zahara
  • Tamerlan spent every weekend with Katherine’s family at their suburban Rhode Island home
  • Bomber’s aunt says: ‘He has a wife in Boston and from a Christian family, so you can’t tie it to religion…he found his love, he married, he had a daughter, and he was very happy about his daughter.’
  • Katherine arrives back at family home at 5pm, flanked by Homeland Security.

By Sara Nathan and Daniel Bates In North Kingstown, Rhode Island,  The Daily Mail, 19 April 2013

The devastated family of the wife of Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev say ‘our hearts are sickened’ by the terror and tragedy the young Chechen unleashed on America.

Tsarnaev has a three-year-old daughter called Zahara with Katherine Russell, 24, who converted to Islam for her husband, MailOnline can reveal.

And tonight, Katherine’s parents, Judith and Warren issued an emotional statement following the terror attack that left three dead and 176 injured, saying: ‘Our daughter has lost her husband today, the father of her child.

‘We cannot begin to comprehend how this horrible tragedy occurred. In the aftermath of the Patriot’s Day horror, we know that we never really knew Tamerlane Tsarnaev

‘Our hearts are sickened by the knowledge of the horror he has inflicted.’…

Mother of Boston bombing suspects arrested last year for ‘stealing $1,600 worth of clothes from Lord & Taylor’ (It’s amazing how much information the Daily Mail carries that isn’t reported in the States…Dave)

  • Mom charged in June 2012 for shoplifting from the upscale department store
  • Her sons were caught on CCTV from a different Lord & Taylor along the marathon route
  • Tamerlan, 26, was killed Thursday night after shootout with law enforcement
  • Dzhokhar is still on the run and considered armed and very dangerous

By Daily Mail Reporter  19 April 2013,  The Daily Mail, 19 April 2013

The mother of the two Chechnyan brothers suspected of setting off two bombs at the Boston Marathon was arrested last year for allegedly stealing $1,600 worth of clothes from an upscale department store.

Zubeidat K. Tsarnaeva, 45, was charged with two counts of malicious/wanton damage and defacement to property after allegedly swiping the merchandise from a Lord & Taylor in Natick, Mass. in June 2012.

She also spoke today to proclaim that her son’s didn’t plant the bombs and that they are ”100 per cent innocent.’… (Surely we can take her word for this… Dave)

Now that we know the truth about who the Boston Marathon Bombers were, let’s look at the narrative that the liberal media was trying to peddle beforehand – Dave

Boston Marathon bombs have hallmarks of ‘lone wolf’ devices, experts say

By Tim Lister and Paul Cruickshank, CNN   Wed April 17, 2013

  • Boston Marathon bombs seem to follow widely available recipe, experts say
  • “Lone wolf” devices worry the intelligence community because there’s “no trail, no intelligence”
  • Al Qaeda, U.S. right-wing extremists use hard-to-trace bombs, experts say

(CNN) — The devices used in the Boston Marathon attack Monday are typical of the “lone wolf:” the solo terrorist who builds a bomb on his own by following a widely available formula.

In this case, the formula seems very similar to one that al Qaeda has recommended to its supporters around the world as both crudely effective and difficult to trace. But it is also a recipe that has been adopted by extreme right-wing individuals in the United States.

Boston Bombers Chose Troubling Date for Attack

Apr 17, 2013 12:15 PM ET // by AFP (Agence France-Presse)

Troubling anniversaries linked to U.S. extremists have fueled speculation about who is behind the Boston bombings even though investigators have yet to publicly cast blame on any culprits.

The twin bombs left at the marathon’s finish line Monday, which killed three people and wounded more than 175, contain disturbing details that could be seen as aping Al-Qaeda.

President Barack Obama has clearly accused terrorists of staging the attacks. But he also insisted that neither domestic, nor foreign militants, nor a “lone wolf” individual, had yet been implicated.

Still, the date alone — April 15 — leaves plenty of room for speculation.

Monday was the deadline for Americans to pay taxes, a day hated by the far right. In Boston, it was also Patriots’ Day — the anniversary of the first battles against British forces in the American Revolutionary War…

Chris Matthews on Boston Bombings: ‘Domestic Terrorists…Tend to Be on the Far Right’ (Meanwhile, see how MSNBC’s Chuck Todd refused to consider the possibility that Muslims could be behind the attack HERE)

Apr. 15, 2013 10:30pm Billy Hallowell The Blaze

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews wasted no time in questioning whether today’s horrific bombing of the Boston Marathon was a politically-motivated attack.

On “Hardball” tonight, the host openly questioned whether at least a portion of the horror was an intentional attack against the Democratic Party. Matthews made his controversial comments when he assumed that a purported explosion at the JFK Library was associated with the bombings.

“I was just thinking, again, it’s early; it’s an early situation, but going after the Kennedy Library, not something at Bunker Hill, not something from the freedom trail or anything that kind of historic, but a modern political figure of the Democratic Party,” he said “Does that tell you anything?”

These comments were uttered during an exchange with Michael Leiter, former director of the United States National Counterterrorism Center. Matthews preceded his questioning of whether the Democrats were under siege with the following statement:

“Let me ask you about domestic terrorism as a category. Normally, domestic terrorists, people tend to be on the far right, well that’s not a good category, just extremists, let’s call them that…

Holy Mother Of God

By Charles P. Pierce  April 15, 2013 Esquire Magazine

BOSTON — This is just breaking, but at least two explosions occurred in downtown Boston near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Several people were injured and two have been reported dead. There are reports of people missing limbs. Obviously, nobody knows anything yet, but I would caution folks jumping to conclusions about foreign terrorism to remember that this is the official Patriots Day holiday in Massachusetts, celebrating the Battles at Lexington and Concord, and that the actual date (April 19) was of some significance to, among other people, Tim McVeigh, because he fancied himself a waterer of the tree of liberty and the like

What disturbs me most about these speculations is the wishful thinking behind them, which reveals an agenda with real malice, along with politically correct blindness to an obvious threat: Islamists.  We’ve seen these kinds of mental leaps before in recent history, in the cases of the Colorado theater shooting and the shooting of Rep. Gabby Giffords.  Where does this desire to slander those who uphold the US Constitution and traditional American values come from?

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program…Dave

Boston University’s remembrance of Lingzi Lu fails to recognize her faith

David Paulin  April 18, 2013 American Thinker

Lingzi Lu, a graduate student in mathematics and statistics at Boston University, has been identified as one of three dead in Boston’s terror attack. There are stories about her at the Boston Globe, here, and at Boston University’s student newspaper, here. Interestingly, Lingzi Lu not only loved living in Boston, she was enjoying America’s religious freedoms and had participated in a Christian religious retreat, according to the Globe’s article. How ironic, then, that the remembrances for her at Boston University are utterly devoid of the faith that she apparently embraced or was interested in…

Florida and Oklahoma Vote for Freedom

April 12, 2013 By Robert Spencer   Frontpage Mag

Florida and Oklahoma just passed legislation restricting the use of foreign law in state courtrooms, and many other states are considering similar laws. These laws are designed to halt the use of Islamic law, Sharia, by American judges – a measure that many see as necessary, since Sharia has already been involved in cases in twenty-three states. Yet many such initiatives, including an earlier one approved in Oklahoma by seventy percent of the voters, have already been stopped by activist judges who see them as encroachments upon First Amendment protection of religion; however, anti-Sharia laws do not actually infringe upon religious freedom at all, and become more urgently needed by the day.

The prevailing mainstream media view is that anti-Sharia law, and the more general laws banning the use of foreign law in American courts that are now being passed, are simply a manifestation of “Islamophobia” and bigotry. In criticizing Oklahoma’s earlier attempt to pass an anti-Sharia amendment to the state constitution, which was struck down, Daniel Mach, director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief, said: “This amendment did nothing more than target one faith for official condemnation…

Stop praying for defeat of ‘Kufaar’:Every time a Canadian Muslim is named as a suspect, the predictable Islamic clerics line up to deny it

BY TAREK FATAH ,TORONTO SUN Wednesday, April 10, 2013 11:59 AM EDT

Here we go again. Yet another group of Canadian Muslims itching for jihad has been discovered. This time, not only did they plot jihad, two of them died fighting one.

For years now, Canadians have been reading about Islamist-inspired terror-plots with dismay. No sooner do they get over one plot, another emerges. These include the failed Millennium bomber Ahmed Ressam, al-Qaida linked Omar Khadr, Ottawa digi-bomber Momin Khawaja, the Toronto-18, the Mumbai 2008-fame Tahawwur Rana, the still unnamed Arab-Canadian who allegedly blew up a bus full of Israelis in Bulgaria. And now we hear about Ali Medlej, Xristos Katsiroubas and maybe Aaron Yoon from London, Ontario.

And there is more in the pipeline.

Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) are reportedly monitoring 50 to 60 Canadians suspected of being involved in jihadi groups. Recently, AFP in Pakistan interviewed a Canadian who goes by the name Mohammad Ibrahim. He claims to have completed terror training in Pakistan and was “preparing to leave” and ready to wag jihad inside Canada.

Every time a Canadian Muslim is named as a suspect, the predictable Islamic clerics line up before cameras to deny any role in the affair. This time too, London’s mosque establishment came out with the now familiar bane “unequivocally condemning violent extremism of any kind”. Adding the anticipated rhetoric, “… this is the opposite to the core teachings of Islam.”…

Justification for Benghazi Cover-Up Continues

W.A. Beatty April 19, 2013   American Thinker

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, testifying before the before the Senate Foreign Relations committee in January 2013, about the U.S. Consulate attack in Benghazi, Libya, angrily said:

With all due respect, the fact is, we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or because of guys out for a walk one night who decide to kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.

Clinton’s anger was her way of trying to avoid the issue, to justify the cover-up begun on September 12, 2012. At issue, avoided by Clinton, was whether or not the Obama administration had lied to us. Clinton tried to justify her testimony by portraying herself as a victim and tried to gain sympathy by making the attack a personal issue.

The statement by Clinton was bad enough. Yes, it is your job to “figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again.” Even Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama said so. Obama said, in October 2012, to “make sure that it doesn’t happen again[.]” Perhaps Clinton and Obama should have compared notes before she opened her mouth. Or perhaps Clinton and Obama just didn’t care.

As if Clinton’s statement wasn’t enough to express Obama’s true feelings about Americans in harm’s way, current Secretary of State John Kerry has doubled down on Clinton’s statement. Yesterday (April 17, 2013) Kerry said (emphasis mine):

Let’s figure out what it is that’s missing, if it’s legitimate or if it isn’t. I don’t think anybody lied to anybody. And let’s find out exactly, together, what happened, because we need — we got a lot more important things to move on to and get done

U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Accused of Breaking Sharia Law

April 18, 2013 By Raymond Ibrahim   Frontpage Mag

The U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, is being accused of some outlandish behavior and remarks. Last week, several Egyptian papers and websites, including Al Dostor, reported that Dia’ al-Din al-Garahi, a human rights lawyer and president of the Justice Center for Freedoms and Media, submitted a complaint to the Attorney General accusing Patterson “of libel and defamation of the Egyptian people and making statements that are likely to disturb society and threaten Egypt’s security.”

According to Report 935 of the Attorney General, “the American Ambassador, after drinking alcohol in contradiction to Islamic Sharia law, said that she rules Egypt and that the Egyptian people are under her authority, that she controls them like a puppet, and that the Egyptian people have no idea of what is transpiring around them.”

The report further adds, citing one Dr. Latif Shaker, a Palestinian writer living in America, that the U.S. ambassador had earlier said that “the Jews will return to Egypt in 2013 and that they are the masters of the earth”; that “Egypt will go bankrupt during this year and Egyptians will turn to the United States to save them from famine and poverty.” The report further accuses Patterson of saying that “the land of Egypt belongs to the Jews, for it was theirs originally,” and that “the Jews were kicked out of Egypt after building the pyramids and DNA analysis reveals that King Tut was a Jew.”

“Egyptian Jon Stewart” Parodies Qatar & Faces New Charges: Youssef faces new charges of “spreading atheism,” “insulting Pakistan” and denigrating Islam.

By Ryan Mauro Wed, April 10, 2013   Clarion Project

After Bassem Youssef, known as the Egyptian version of political satirist Jon Stewart, was arrested and released on bail, he vowed to “take it through the roof.” He parodied a song to mock Qatar, the U.S. “ally” that is supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. Youssef now faces new charges of “spreading atheism,” “insulting Pakistan” and denigrating Islam.

Youssef took the song, “My Beloved Homeland,” and changed it to be about Qatar and its pro-Brotherhood role in Egypt…

Investigate Benghazi!

By DICK MORRIS  Published on on April 19, 2013

Dear Friend,

We have never been told the truth about Benghazi.  Did we have advance indication of the attack?  Why did we not rush military assets to the scene?  Who deleted the word “terror” from the briefing memo circulated to the executive branch?  What did President Obama, Secretary Clinton and Secretary Rice know and when did they know it?

Please take a moment and sign this petition to set up a Select Special Committee to investigate Benghazi — a committee with subpoena power and which can force the grant of whistle blower status to those with information so they come forward and tell the truth.

Click Here To Sign The Petition To Investigate Benghazi!

Thank you,
