Democrats Behaving Badly

Posted: October 14, 2012 at 6:27 am   /   by

Five recent items in the annals of one of America’s two main political parties . . .

Democrats, Joe McCarthy is on line 1.

The left, in and out of Hollywood, obsess over the “McCarthy era,” a broad term to describe the period during which a series of hearings took place on communist infiltration into the State Department, the film industry, and elsewhere. (Without getting too deep into the weeds on a subject that is complicated and wants of extensive treatment, it bears mentioning briefly that there was communist infiltration, especially in the state department, and that the committees doing these kinds of investigations were almost all originally created by Democrats.) The big mistake was going after the much less important targets in Hollywood, who were mostly just coffee-klatsch communists. They posed little actual threat, but being a (melo)dramatic lot by nature, the hearings had the guaranteed effect of producing a persecution complex and driving the entire industry further leftwards.

Like many persecution complexes, the left’s is highly overblown when it comes to “McCarthyite tactics” and being “silenced.” In fact, their loudspeakers are far bigger, they largely drown out opposing voices, and when it comes to McCarthyite tactics, it is they who are the true masters:

Conservatives are calling foul against a Maryland university for disciplining one of its employees because she signed a petition to let voters decide the homosexual “marriage” issue.

Family Research Council (FRC) spokesman J.P. Duffy explains that Gallaudet University has placed its chief diversity officer, Dr. Angela McCaskill, on paid leave because she signed the petition to put the issue on the Maryland ballot.

“Up until just a few years ago, I think a decision punishing any employee for engaging in the democratic process would have actually been jaw-dropping,” he suggests.

“But unfortunately, what we’re seeing here is this discriminatory action I think reflects really a troubling nationwide trend of voter intimidation and bullying tactics against those who believe in marriage as the union of one man and one woman.”

You can always count on the unions for quasi-legal and illegal activity on behalf of Democrats.

It gets worse, however. A lot worse. We move from McCarthyism to . . . this:

Unions Fine Members Who Don’t Show Support for Elizabeth Warren

“Did you guys get fined if you weren’t there?” the cameraman asks.

“Yeah,” the union member replies.

“How much did you get fined?” the cameraman asks.

“A hundred and fifty,” the man says, although he later adds, “It’s two-fifty if you don’t go.” Watch the video below:

A republic that does not have free AND FAIR elections is not a republic at all.

Increasingly over the last few decades, an unmistakable record is being compiled: Democrats are very willing to cheat. Vote fraud from the right is not nonexistent, but the instances of Democrat fraud outnumber Republican by orders of magnitude.

If you haven’t seen it yet, the Democrats’ latest example is in:

Newsflash: The Party of slavery, Jim Crow, the KKK, Dred Scott, Plessy, Segregation, and Bull Connor is still racist.

When William Shakespeare write “methinks thou dost protest too much,” it is clear he was thinking about Democrats and their constant calumniation of Republicans as racists.

Got Racism?

Liberal racism sightings have become like a lunatic’s version of “Where’s Waldo?” Kevin Baker of Harper’s magazine says Romney’s referring to his “five boys” in last week’s debate was how he “slyly found a way” to call Obama a “boy.” Says Baker: “How the right’s hard-core racists must have howled at that!”MSNBC’s Chris Matthews says the word “apartment” is racist because black people live in apartments. He also says the word “Chicago” is racist because — despite its well-known reputation as the home of Al Capone and the Daley machine — a lot of black people live there, too. (And don’t get him started on “Chicago apartments”!)As we go to press, Matthews is working on an exciting new hypothesis that peanut butter is racist.Meanwhile, my new favorite actress, Stacey Dash, sends an inoffensive little tweet supporting Mitt Romney and is buried in tweets calling her “an indoor slave” and a “jiggaboo,” who was “slutting (herself) to the white man.” (And those were just the tweets from the Obama 2012 Re-election Campaign!)

Could we get an expert opinion from Chris Matthews or Kevin Baker about whether any of that is racist?

It’s for the children.

This one needs little explanation, unless you somehow think that anyone on the left would have remained silent if Romney partisans were allowed into schools to indoctrinate children:

Educating Children… On How to Vote for Democrats

There’s normally little attention given regarding voter registration and high school children. However, even though most are not old enough to vote, a small number will reach eighteen before election day. With this in mind, one organization was given permission to set up voter registration drives within a school district. The only problem was that they were only supporting Democrats and giving pro-Obama speeches.

In this case, the Pasco County Schools in Florida agreed to let Organizing for America into a number of high schools and middle schools, all in the name of voter “education” and registration. For those of you who don’t remember, Organizing for America was Barack Obama group that helped register Democrats leading up to the 2008 election. The group DEFINITELY has a partisan agenda.

As reported by Todd Starnes at Fox Radio, it’s not the fact that this group was in the schools registering voters. What’s troubling is that no Republican group was allowed to do the same thing. In addition, one volunteer was  . . .
