Arizona Sec’y of State Ken Bennett on Voter Registration Issues

Posted: September 26, 2012 at 12:15 pm   /   by

On September 25, Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett addressed the press and public on the voter registration issues in Arizona.  The venue was Catholic Charities Community Services, Phoenix.

Mr. Bennett spoke generally about key issues and then took questions from the public.  He described penalties for illegal voting as well as several cases of illegal voting his office is pursuing.

Mr. Bennett also answered press questions for a few minutes.  Many of those questions seemed intended to get Mr. Bennett to agree that voter fraud is really not significant.  As one reporter asked (paraphrased): Voter fraud is a serious offense, but it’s not a serious problem — correct?
