“It wasn’t supposed to be this way”

Another in a series of ads running in battleground states . . .

Obama’s relentless assault on Romney in swing states has managed to move the polls . . . a little. At the same time, a barrage of outside-group ads have put Obama underwater on the economy and job approval in those same states, keeping the race essentially even.

Romney hasn’t even gotten started yet, as there are still three weeks until he begins spending his general election funds. Romney has a lot of room to grow . . . but where does Obama go from here? The economy isn’t going to improve enough, so what does he have but more hate and fear? Will that work? Or do the American people want something better than that?
